~One Month Later~

"Are you sure you can handle her? She's a bit of a nuisance." You said, hesitantly handing the small puppy towards the old man. He smiled and waved his hand, chuckling lightly.

"I'm sure I can handle a puppy. You just head on to school now, you'll be late if you don't." He said, waving you off.

"Alright, call me if you need anything. I'll pick her up after school, Grandpa." You said, yelping as Jonouchi pulled you roughly.

"Alright, enough yapping, come on Yugi!" Jonouchi said, making the small teenage boy jump slightly.

"C-Coming! Bye Grandpa!" Yugi said, waving to his Grandfather as he rushed after the two cousins. Sugoroku chuckled and looked down at the puppy, patting her head lightly.

~Timeskip~

You chuckled lightly, shaking your head as Jonouchi cracked a terrible joke about Dueling. The five of you were walking home from school, until Jonouchi decided to start cracking horrible jokes. Honda laughed at it while Anzu shook her head, annoyed.

"Aw! Come on guys! It's funny! Right, Yug?" Jonouchi said, turning to look down at the shortest person in the group.

"U-Uh, it was a tad funny." Yugi sputtered, blushing from the slight attention. You smiled, finding this short boy cute.

"Jonouchi, come up with something better." You commented, earning a pout from the blonde. He was about to reply until a cold and gruff voice called out from beside you, making the five of you stop to turn towards the source.

"Hmpf, surprising someone actually laughed at your horrible humour. I guess they're just as stupid as you." Jonouchi growled and stepped towards the tall brunette, raising a fist at him.

"Don't call my bud and cousin stupid! (Name) is definitely smarter than you and Honda ain't stupid!" Jonouchi growled, causing the brunette to quirk a brow. So she's his cousin? Seto thought, eyes glancing towards your confused form.

"Another Katsuya? Hmpf, more mutts to deal with then." Jonouchi growled, standing in front of you protectively.

"Don't call her that!" Jonouchi yelled, curling his hands into fists again.

"What are you going to do, mutt?" You blinked and frowned at what the brunette said, growing agitated at him. He's the one teasing my cousin? Tch, I'll teach him! You thought, pushing Jonouchi aside to glare up at the brunette.

"Hey, listen Mr. Jerk! That's my family your talking to! I don't appreciate the way you talk to him like that!" You said, glaring up at him. He quirked a brow again and smirked down at you, leaning down slightly to make eye contact with you.

"Really now? I don't see anything wrong with the way I talk to the mutt. He's filth anyw-" He was interrupted by a sharp sting in his left cheek as his head jerked to the side.

"Like I said, I don't appreciate the way you talk to my cousin." You said, pulling your hand away. Seto slowly blinked and turned to look at you, surprise on his face. Meanwhile, you were angry. You turned and grabbed Jonouchi's arm, glaring at Seto as you spoke.

"Let's go, Jon. It's pointless to waste our time on this pompous mule." You spat, tugging your cousin away from the still surprised male and three other surprised teens.

~Timeskip~

"Pomp~!" You called, kneeling on the ground as the small puppy ran towards you, yiping loudly. You cooed and scooped her up in your arms, laughing as she licked your face. Sugoroku came out and chuckled at the scene, looking up as Jonouchi and the rest of the gang stepped into the shop slowly.

"How was school?" Sugoroku asked, watching as the four teens stiffen slightly while you continued to give your puppy attention.

"(Name), uh, slapped Kaiba." Jonouchi mumbled, making Sugoroku blink.

"You what?" Sugoroku asked, making you look up.

"I did my family a favour and slapped that mule." You said, standing up with your puppy.
