After the whole " fun time " situation was solved, they all sat down on the couch asking the little girl questions.
" So how did you get here? " " Why are you even here? " " Where's your mom? "

All these questions were starting to get on the little girls nerves. After the last question, she blew up. " I walked here, my mommy is dead, and that man is my daddy! " They all backed up slightly and stared at the little girl. Ashley got up and went to sit next to the kid. She was sniffing with tears in her eyes.

It was 8 o'clock and the kid looked like she was getting tired. " Hey, you wanna go to bed? You can sleep in my bed. " She nodded her head and reached for Ashley to pick her up. He understood her gesture and picked her up. She laid her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes.

Ashley laid her down and took the birth certificate out of his pocket.
" Let's see what your name is, " Ashley whispered. " Hmm, Isae Purdy. Pretty name. " Ashley looked at Isae and wiped some stray hair from her face.

For the first time in a long time, he actually felt true happiness. " Love you Daddy. " He heard Isae whisper.
" He smiled and kissed her head. " I love you too, Isae. "
