"Shh..."

"Sean, I don't want to be here, haven't you heard the stories?!" She reminded.

"Yes, Katy, I have. There's supposed to be some guy with a mask and chainsaw here coming to attack us at this corn field or whatever, come on."

Katy grabbed onto the sleeve of Sean's football jacket, still hesitant of doing this.

They were currently in a haunted corn maze, which everyone enjoyed coming to, except...it was around two in the morning and the place had closed early for Halloween the next day.

Sean had promised Katy that they would be staying in to watch romantic movies and possibly a few horror films but nooooo Sean decided it was a good idea to take her to this freaking maze where everything looked the same.

'Legend' had it that at the end of what used to be a regular cornfield, there was a house. And in that house lived a young father and his four year old daughter. One day the daughter was kidnapped and sent into a maze with no ending, trying to find her father. She died in there and out of rage, the father cut his corn field into a maze and anyone who was in there had to suffer the same death his daughter did. Death by chainsaw.

It was a crappy legend and everyone knew it was fake and just for fun-- except the kids-- but still everyone would freak out and run like hell if they saw something hiding in the corn. The corn maze was part of a small carnival in Lawrence, Kansas.

"There's no one here, don't worry." Sean reassured.

"Well duh, it's closed." Katy scoffed, following Sean deeper into the maze.

Of course, being the stupid teenagers at the beginning of almost every supernatural episode, they had no idea someone had been watching them as soon as they set foot in the maze.

"Come on, we're almost there." Sean whispered.

"Where are we even going?" Katy asked, irritated.

"I know a great make out spot around here somewhere."

"And how do you know there's a great make out spot here if you've never taken me?" Katy was beginning to suspect something.

"I uh-- I've just heard that it was a good spot, damn Katy, calm down." Sean laughed nervously.

Katy huffed and let go of his jacket, turning away. "I'm going home."

Sean turned around in confusion, "Katy, come on! It's not that far!"

"No! We've been walking around here for an hour and we haven't found your little 'spot'. I'm leaving." She began to walk away when Sean heard a twig snap.

"What was that?" Sean whispered.

"Sean stop, you're not gonna make me stay like that."

"No, wait. Katy I heard somet-- " the sound of a chainsaw cut them off.

"Sean..." Katy whispered, worry filling her voice.

The sound became louder and from within the corn, emerged a tall figure in torn, raggy clothes, splattered with blood. He was wearing a dark mask, also covered in blood, and he raised up the chainsaw, threatening to bring it down on them.

"GO KATY RUN!" Sean yelled and began running.

Katy screamed and ran after him. They cut through the maze and ran until they reached Sean's car. The sound of tires screeching and en engine roaring filled the air and they were gone.

The figure powered down the chainsaw and removed the mask, smirking at his good work.

"Opening hours start at five tomorrow night! Come again soon!" Dean smiled, waving his farewell.
