Time was running out at a much faster pace than Arabella could handle.
She tried following the guards to the cellars, only to find more guards and extra security. (You totally weren't expecting that, were you, Arabella? Side note, this is sarcasm.) There was no way Arabella could sneak in without getting caught and probably killed.
Scratch that plan. Arabella wouldn't be able to enter the dungeons for her life. She needed to come up with something new, fast. The wedding was in two hours. She had only two hours to think. Two hours until Katelyn was stuck in the dungeon forever, Aphmau was unhappily married, and Laurance was dead.
Arabella couldn't allow that to happen.
Thinking about it now, none of this would've happened if Zane hadn't transported all of them to Irene's Dimension. If that hadn't happened, fifteen years wouldn't have gone by, Garroth wouldn't have killed Arabella, she wouldn't be considered dead to the others, she wouldn't have become a Shadow Knight with an unquenchable bloodthirst, Zenix wouldn't have returned, the Shadow Souls wouldn't have invaded the Overworld...
Shadow Souls. That's it.
What had Sasha said? A Shadow Knight unleashing their rage could unintentionally summon Shadow Souls because they would be attracted to their strong and deadly aura.
It wouldn't hurt if they were to crash the wedding, would it? They'd crash the wedding, putting the entire werewolf tribe into a panic, effectively allowing Aphmau, Katelyn, Laurance and Arabella to escape.
It's been so long since you've thought of a good plan, Arabella said to herself.
This might actually work.
They'd all escape.
They'd all be saved.
Laurance would be saved.
A small flicker of hope that everything would be alright lit up Arabella's ocean-blue and forest-green eyes. Everything would be fine once again, just like how they were in the good old days. For once, Arabella wasn't complaining about becoming a Shadow Knight.
Was her plan a good one? Nope. Was it justice towards the innocent werewolves? Absolutely not. Was it worth all the risk and evil? Probably not. But, would she do it anyway? Definitely.
Arabella couldn't wait, and soon, she didn't have to. She could hear the wedding bells ringing.
Arabella put up her unkempt, violet hair into a bun so that it wouldn't bother her any longer, and slung her battle-axe on her back. Under the cover of darkness, she made her way to the reception. It was finally time.
Time to ruin a wedding.
~•~
Sitting behind a dense foliage definitely didn't help Arabella properly see what was going on. Fortunately, her Shadow Knight senses helped her out. She could perfectly make out Aphmau walking down the aisle in the most grand, snow-white dress Arabella had ever seen. It would've been a beautiful wedding if it wasn't a forced one, and someone wasn't going to be executed as a sacrifice at the end of it.
Still, Arabella couldn't help admire the detail that the werewolves put into this. Everyone was seated under the beautiful, navy sky, dotted with thousands of glittering stars. The carpets seemed to be made entirely of silk and they were perfectly symmetrical in shape. Different flowers littered the ground, and the actual podium where Fenrir was situated on was upheld by an arch made entirely of white roses. In short, it was absolutely stunning.
The only thing unfitting to the entire scene was Laurance. He was bound tightly to his seat. He looked miserable. Well, of course, he would be. He was watching the love of his life get married to some guy he had just met, and to top it off, he was going to be executed by the end of it.
