It was 8:30 Saturday morning and instead of sleeping in on the glorious weekend day most of mystic falls was attending a funeral for a girl that didn't deserve to die. People gathered into the Lockwood Mansion to show their respects to the Mayor's daughter, So many showed up it filled the whole house up. Most of the people at the funeral didn't know who she was, the others only knew her when elizabeth was younger and five people actually knew her.

Klaus knew that he shouldn't go to Elizabeth's funeral but he had to something inside him needed to see her again, even if she was dead. Niklaus stood side for a good ten minutes just staring at the door, he was dreading the moment where he would have to go inside. A cold hand was placed on klaus's shoulder snapping him out of thoughts

"I know, let's go inside" kol patted his older brother on the back encouraging him to step through the door and accept it

"I can't" klaus whispered out as his lip began to quiver

"Ok, let's get inside before anyone sees that tear come out of your eye" kol led his brother inside to a spare room inside the big house

"You swore to never forgive me, why are you doing this" klaus said as he tried to calm down

"I'm not going to forgiving you but that doesn't mean I am heartless, I can see that this affects you and it is making the others worried" kol responded with understanding and sympathy.

"You were close with her-" klaus was harshly cut off

"Why don't you say her name, why won't you say Elizabeth's name. Say her name, you can't avoid the situation like that. Say it out loud" kol said with a sharp angry voice

"No" the guilt was haunting Niklaus, his heart was really hurting

"Why not" kol was pushing his brothers emotions

"Because I can't" klaus said a little louder than a whisper

"Why. Is it because you know that you feel something for the girl and that's why you killed her" kol pressured his brother even more, he knew what klaus needed. Klaus slammed kol into the wall behind him

"NO BECAUSE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN A THOUSAND YEARS I FEEL SOMETHING THAT I HAVE NEVER FELT BEFORE. I KILLED HER BECAUSE I AM A MONSTER BECAUSE I WAS SCARED THAT THIS FEELING WAS LOVE- I was afraid that if I fell for her, she would end up hurt" klaus yelled to kol getting all his emotions out. He gripped kol's shirt as he cried, kol held his big brother.

I never meant for any of this to happen"

" I know brother, I know" kol patted his brother's back

"You won't have to hate me forever" klaus whispered out finally getting a hold of himself

"I won't"

"I will do all the hating of myself for you and everyone'' klaus said sliding down the wall putting his head in his hands, his head felt light and the tear were still threatening to fall

''Don't do that to yourself, despite everything that has happened you don't deserve to hate yourself like this. It wouldn't be what she would want'' kol said sitting next the emotionally distraught

''How would you know what Elizabeth would want'' klaus looked at his youngest brother with sadness covering his face

''You have got to be kidding me, for being the most powerful creature in the world you sure are dumb. Everyone could see it, why else do you think that Rebekah was nice to her after what Eliza said in the bar, Bekah hated her. But whenever I mentioned her everyone could see your face light up, and the feelings aren't one sided. She called the day you left her in New York''
