Chapter 3

"Home sweet home."

"Sweet is not the word I'd use."

"Oh my gosh it's so good to be inside, even if it's still kinda freezing in here."

"I'll get a fire going."

"This place barely looks any different."

"Yeah, doubt anyone's been up here since." You chimed in, looking around the empty lodge.

"What's up party people?" Mike walked in, making a big entrance as usual.

"Heeeeey!" Jess followed behind him.

"My girl, come here and give me some sugar!" You ordered, bringing Jess into a hug.

"Hey! Make yourself at home bro." Josh greeted the two.

"Will do. Sup (Y/N)." Mike fist bumped you, something not uncommon between the two of you.

"Nothing much, just looking for my hookah." You replied, now going back to your bag, searching for your hookah pen.

"Still doing that shit? I'm telling you (Y/N), you're gonna die before any of us pumping that shit into your lungs." He warned you, always looking out for you.

"Mike, I'm telling you, you'd love it. I mean, who doesn't like a little watermelon or cotton candy now and then?  Plus I could teach you all my tricks, huh what do you say? I personally like the dragon." You replied, taking the pen that you had found and bringing to your mouth, pressing down the button. You took a deep breath in, and blew the smoke out of your nose, enjoying the watermelon flavor, looking at him while doing it. He just looked at you with a small frown on his face, shaking his head.

"I'm telling you (Y/N), it's bad for you. And I don't like the idea of you dying young."

"Oh, so all the alcohol you drink practically ever night isn't bad for your kidneys then? Besides, it's just flavored water with a hint of nicotine." He wasn't any more innocent then you when it came to partying.

"Oh please, my body can handle it." He flexed his muscles, making you chuckle.

"Yeah, you won't be saying that when you're in the hospital with kidney stones."

"Fine, fine, okay, I guess I'm not that innocent either." He backed away now with his hands held in front of his chest.

"Come on in, take a load off. Have whatever you want. You just take what you want anyways, right?" Matt now walked up to Mike, standing face to face.

"Woah, easy there cowboy."

"What the hell were you doing with Em out on the trail, huh?

"What?"

"I saw you and Em, through the telescope."

"Before? We just ran into each other. It's been a while so we just hugged and said hello. Is that against the law?" You knew Mike for to long, that was the biggest lie ever. Of course it wasn't just a hug.

"Right, yeah, duh. It's been kind of a long day, I overreacted."

"Nah, man. Don't worry about it."
