     It was hard to say the least, watching our children and their families grow. At one point in time, they were just little kids who didn't know the harm of this world. Who could possibly say they enjoyed watching their children and grandchildren live in a world like this? A place where no one can be trusted and tragedy happens when you least expect it? I don't know if there's such a person.
     We, and when I say we I mean my children and grandchildren along with my husband and I were all hanging out in our house we had lived in since as long as I could remember.
     We bought this house once we became engaged, Levi insisted on getting one that was farthest away from overpopulated civilization, in other words, people/germs.
     At 47 and 45, Farlan and Isabelle had not only grown as people, but they had grown as families. Both Farlan and Isabelle were married and had wonderful children that remind me of their parents. Farlan was married to a lovely woman named Anastasia, we call her An, and they have two beautiful teenage boys, Charlie and Jace. Those two were always at each other's heels, but secretly I know they love each other.
     Then for Isabelle, she was married to an extremely nice, (I would say handsome because he most certainly is but Levi would probably shave his hair off while he was sleeping if I did) gentle man by the name of Cody. Isabelle and Cody really did make the best couple, and their children were to show for that. They had two girls and one boy, Kalana, Athena, and Castiel. Kalana and Cas were already in college, while Athena was in her second year of highschool. They were all precious children, but even more precious as our grandchildren.
     I smiled and slowly walked over to Isabelle. She was sitting on my couch so it wasn't hard to get to her. I said,

"Hey darling." Isabelle smiled widely and said,

"Hey mom, what's up?" I chuckled and looked around the room that was filled with our family.

"They sure are something." Isabelle nodded and replied,

"They sure are growing up fast..I wish time would just stop..Kalana and Castiel are already moved out, I don't know what I'm going to do without Athena..what did you do when me and Farlan left?" I took her hand into mine and said,

"Well that was sort of my problem sweetheart, I didn't know what to do. You and your brother were gone so it was just me and your dad. Believe me, no matter how much he denies it, your father really missed you and still misses you to this day." I winked at her and we giggled together as Farlan and Levi found their way into the living room with us, along with Charlie and Jace.

"What are you boys up to?" I asked as I looked at them. Levi sat down and crossed his legs before saying,

"We were just looking at all the minor details of this place." I sighed and looked at him dead in the eyes before saying,

"You were trying to find dirt, weren't you?" Farlan breathed out a yes and that made me facepalm. My husband never really changed. Farlan moved to sit down beside me before grabbing my free hand to say,

"Mom, me and Izzy have been thinking and..we both agreed that you and dad should look into some retirement homes." The moment retirement home left his lips, Levi spit out his tea and almost clawed him to death. Levi grabbed his collar and said,

"You think I'm some old geezer who can't take care of himself?! Well you've got a lot to learn son because I can crack your ass faster than-" "LEVI!" I yelled in disbelief at their position. Farlan looked like he was about to piss himself, despite being in his mid-40s. Levi was as intimidating as ever, and I could only mentally sweat drop at it.
     Levi quickly let go of Farlan before clearing his throat and saying,

"Sorry boy.." Farlan waved his hand as to say no big deal. Me and Isabelle sighed and looked at each other in relief. I said,

"Honestly, I agree with you. Your dad and I are getting older..maybe it would be best if we did look into it. I don't want you guys to worry." Farlan smiled and kissed my head.

"Thanks mom."

(Time Skip)

     After a while, Farlan and Isabelle took their children and left. Leaving me and Levi to ourselves, like usual. I walked out of the kitchen to find Levi sleeping soundlessly on the couch. One arm behind his head and the other resting on his stomach, it made me realize that he was still the same man I was newly in love with 50 years ago. I smiled and quietly went over to his side. I slowly bent down and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
     Levi's eyes shot open and his gaze latched onto mine. He moved his arm over his face and mumbled,

"Why are you looking at me (Y/N)?" I laughed slightly and said,

"Why wouldn't I look at you? You're all I want to look at." I could see the pinkish red tint on his cheeks, even he couldn't hide it now. He said quietly,

"I better be." My grin grew wider as those adorable words left his lips. I took his slightly wrinkled hand in mine and said,

"C'mon babe, let's go to bed." Levi snorted and said,

"Babe?" I stuck my tongue out at him and he caught it in between his index finger and his thumb.

"How old are you (Y/N)?" I pulled my tongue from his grasp before standing up and pulling him along with me.
     Not taking no for an answer, I quickly got changed into my nightgown and climbed into bed. Levi followed suit but pushed on his back to crack it before he got in. I opened up my arms and said,

"C'mere you." Levi grinned before cuddling up beside me. He wrapped an arm around my waist and used the other to intertwine his fingers with mine. He kissed my hair and said,

"We haven't done something like this in a while."

"Mmhm." I replied as I enjoyed his warmth and company. Levi suddenly said,

"They sure have grown haven't they." I sighed happily and traced circles against his chest. I replied,

"You got that right..they're both already in their 40s..I feel so old.." Levi clicked his tongue and said,

"You may be physically old but mentally you can take off about 60 years." I glared at him but suddenly widened my eyes when Levi surprisingly climbed on top of me, staring down at me with half-lidded eyes. I made an are you serious face and asked,

"Seriously Levi? When was the last time you even popped a boner?" He sighed and ended up falling down on me, his body covering mine and his face nuzzled into my neck. He started to say in a barely audible voice,

"Do you remember when we first met?" I nodded and said,

"Yeah and do you remember the first thing you said to me? I sure do." He looked up in confusion. I put on my best Levi face and said in a mimicking voice,

"Tch." He frowned and shut me up with a kiss. I laughed against his kiss because of his cuteness but soon got engulfed with his lips. I kissed back and pushed him off of me.

"I love you and I love when you're affectionate like this, but I think you're going to give me breathing problems if you put all your weight on me like that again."

"You say something?" I chuckled and snuggled up to him before whispering,

"Nope."

     Not long after our last exchange of words, we fell into a very peaceful sleep together. One much needed, and one much longed for.
