Nagsimula ng maglakad pabalik ng hallways si Vice at tumungo sa elevator, Karylle following shortly behind him. They stopped in front of the waiting area for the elevators, standing side by side.

"Should I pull the emergency stop button?"

"What? Bakit, Doc?" tanong ni Karylle na nalilito.

"I have a thing for elevators and pretty women eh." pag hi-hint ni Vice at kumindat sa bagong intern nila.

"You're not gonna stop with the sexual innuendos are you?"

"Aminin mo na kasi na nag e-enjoy ka din naman."

"Not really." seryosong sagot ni Karylle at binigyan ng poker face si Vice.

"How's Dr Abad as a mentor?"

Karylle pursed her lips at napatingin palayo kay Vice. He got the answer he needed kaya naman napatawa na lang ito ng konti.

"She can be quite a pain in the ass, but she's an excellent surgeon." pag advice ni Dr Viceral bago sila pumasok sa kadarating lang ng elevator.

"Tell me about you, Dr Tatlonghari, what's your favored speciality then?" Vice asked to make conversation. Nararamdaman pa rin kasi nya ang pagka distant sa kanya ni Karylle, which for their job wouldn't work too well.

"I'm actually interested in Cardiothoracics as well." pag amin ni Karylle at binigyan ng sandaling tingin si Vice.

"So you're interested in me?" he winked before leading her out of the elevator by placing a hand behind her back.

"Dr Viceral, yung kamay mo.." sabi ni Karylle at napabilis bigla ang lakad.

"Go over to the nurses station and grab me the folders for room 4F, 4J and 4M." Utos ni Vice while signing some forms na hinand out sa kanya ng isang nurse.

Karylle did as she was told at nung makuha nya na yung mga folders, she saw Vice and the nurse giving each other flirtatious looks. She frowned sa pagka babaero ni Vice at binigay dito ang folders to cut the flirting.

"There ya are boss." sabi ni Karylle at binigyan ng fake smile si Vice.

"Hey, kung nag seselos ka, just let me know, my offer still stands." sabi ni Vice at binuksan yung file ng patient sa room 4F.

Karylle tilted her head at nag fake ng smile, "Let's meet your first patient." sabi ni Vice na naunang naglakad papunta sa room 4F.

"Good morning, Kresilda."

Napatingin yung pasyente sa may pinto ng kwarto nya at napangiti ng makita si Dr Viceral along with a new doctor.

"Magandang umaga, Doc." bati nito pabalik at lalo pang lumaki ang ngiti nung pumasok sila Vice.

"Kamusta pakiramdam mo ngayong araw?" tanong ni Vice at pinasa yung clipboard kay Karylle bago lumapit sa pasyente nila para gumawa ng quick examination dito.

"Apart from being hungry, doc, okay lang naman."

"Good. Quick check-up lang ha. Take a nice deep breath in and then out for me, Kre." sabi ni Vice na pinatong yung dulo ng stethoscope nya sa likod ni Kresilda.

Habang ginagawa ni Vice yung quick check nya sa pasyente, binasa naman ni Karylle yung chart nung pasyente to try and get to know the patient a bit more.

"Everything sounds good, Kre."

"Thank you po Doc." sabi nito at napatingin kay Karylle after.

"Kre, this is Dr Tatlonghari, one of our newest interns, nandun din sya mamaya para sa operasyon mo. She will be doing your pre-op checks and preparations with you, okay?"
