sodapop's POV.

Darry and Ponyboy went home a couple hours ago to get some rest, while I said I would stay with Emma, after all I wouldn't be able to sleep if I tried. my eyelids were heavy and it felt like I could barely keep my eyes open, but I'm sure nothing would be able to get me to sleep. Emma still hadn't woken up yet and the whole gang haven't really talked to each other the past couple of days. the whole world seems mute. as much as I tried to not look upset in front of Ponyboy, cause I know he gets real scared when me and Darry are worried. he keeps asking me if Emma'll be alright, the truth is I don't know. Everytime I think about it I have to stop myself. if Emma isn't going to be okay real soon I don't know what I'm going to do, life without mom and dad; my whole family, is worse enough, I couldn't lose my baby sister too.

I looked at Emma and rubbed my eyes. suddenly, staring at Emma tears formed in my eyes. wiping them away, more came until they were falling down my cheeks.

I grabbed Emma's hand.

"Em?" I asked it if I thought she would answer me.
"Emma you ought to wake up, you gotta."
"i can't loose you too" my cheeks burned as tears dripped down them.
"you have to hold on Em, you can't let go... please" I trailed off.
