It's Always Been You

Chapter Eleven

Iñigo
All our relatives and friends are already here. Holding the little gift from Chloe, a pocket-sized crocheted little monster she named IñiChlo. Her note said, "I promise you lots and lots of our very own little IñiChlo's. I love you forever."
The ceremony is now starting, my cousins Joshua and Fritzie singing a duet of "Lucky." I held my parents' hands as we marched down the aisle, my mother is sobbing. With my best man Martin beside me, we stood as we're waiting for Chloe's entrance.
The church door opened and then there she is, at her most beautiful with butterflies flying behind her. What I saw was just so overwhelming that I finally broke down and was in tears during the bridal march. She was looking at me as she was marching until she reached the middle of the aisle where her father and brother were waiting for her. They embraced each other for a minute. Chloe wiped her father's tears before they continued marching towards the altar, she and Caleb were in tears too. When they reached the altar, I hugged my father in-law and brother in-law.
"Thank you and please take care of her. Make her happy everyday." They told me.
I couldn't help but smile seeing Chloe right infront of me. I kissed her on the forehead and we held hands before we turned to face the officiating priest.
It was time for our vows.
"Chloe, everything has been a roller coaster ride for us. When I came home from Singapore, I decided that I'd look for you. Because you're all that I want to spend the rest of my life with, I couldn't think of anyone else. The 12 years that we're apart, I only lived on the hopes that in time, we will be together and never ever be apart anymore. I promise to be your knight in shining armor. I promise to provide for you and our family, I'm excited for our little IñiChlo's. I promise to always be here for you. I will never ever leave you. I promise to make you happy everyday, as I promised your father and brother. I promise to be the best husband. As I told you, let's get this over with para makakabuo pa tayo ng sarili nating Golden State Warriors at LA Lakers. Hahahah! I love you."
Chloe gave me a playful punch on my chest as she laughed at the last part. It's her turn to now say her vows.
"Iñigo... On my way here, I was nervous and excited at the same time. I was worried that all these might be a scary dream, baka wala akong maabutan dito. But when I walked in here and I saw you there standing, waiting for me. That was when I was convinced, this is it pansit! Tuloy ang forever. How can I not say 'I DO' to that gwapo gwapo face? You are definitely worth the wait. I can't wait to wake up each morning knowing that I'm going to cook for you and take care of you. I promise to share with you everything. I promise to support you with whatever aspirations that you might have. I promise to always be happy by your side. I promise you little IñiChlo's, as many as you want. As long as kaya ng powers natin, physically, emotionally, financially. I'm excited because we can now stay up late together, and there's no need to take me home because beginning today, YOU ARE MY HOME. It will be my pleasure and a great honor to be Mrs Iñigo Suarez for the rest of my life. I love you for all that you are, all that you have been and all that you're yet to be."
The reception followed at the barnhouse of the Legazpi farm. It was a memorable and fun occasion spent with loved ones.
In 3 days, we will be leaving for our honeymoon in El Nido, Palawan. It's a gift from my father in law. We will stay there for 2 weeks.
We will walk the road to forever hand in hand, anticopating on what the future holds for us. As long as we are together, building our hopes and dreams, in good times and in bad, we will get through it all in victory.
