A shock, a wave,
the hand that cradles summer
an afterglow, the aftermath,
a thought of days in a year gone; past
The mirror sees, but not as we,
what truth is real, or left for another year,
actions that have long been bled,
tears now dry, as you pass in time,
when you reach a summer's end.
