I've not felt winter
this year so much as "now."
Pure and gold in its icy touch
filled with frozen warmth,
and unknown depths of
past reflections and
wonders yet in store.
When winter comes
and all is seemingly lost,
a light does dawn
and stretches out-
such peaceful serenity,
its silent touch,
a breath unbroken,
when all things are newly woven.
Here is the beginning of an already
existing cycle of cold beauty
when winter is reborn.
