Winter Reborn

I've not felt winter

this year so much as "now."

Pure and gold in its icy touch

filled with frozen warmth,

and unknown depths of

past reflections and

wonders yet in store.

When winter comes

and all is seemingly lost,

a light does dawn

and stretches out-

such peaceful serenity,

its silent touch,

a breath unbroken,

when all things are newly woven.

Here is the beginning of an already

existing cycle of cold beauty

when winter is reborn.
