**a week later**

-Mariah-

It's time for us to go home, and to be honest I dont wanna go. It's so beautiful here, the food is delicious. I had so much fun, but we have business to take care of back at home. We were boarding the plane and mostly everyone sat by there significant other. I sat alone cuz for some reason Aaron decided to sit wit another girl. I ain't gone trip tho. I stayed seated, then a sexy dude came up to me.

"Is someone sitting here?" A sexy boy asked

"No, have a seat!" I said moving my purse

"My name is, Malik. Yours?" He said st arching out his hand

"I'm Mariah." I said shaking his hand

We talked through out the whole ride. I found out so much about him. He has a brother, he's 18, his parents are happily married, he goes to LSU, and he is single.

I ain't tryna get wit him but he is fine.

We got off the plane and Malik gave me his number. I gave him a hug and went to get in Suriya's car.

I saw Riah flirting wit a nigga on the plane. I'm not gone trip cuz I was gone tell her that we need to go on a break. I wanna be with her but break make a relationship stronger. I'm not gone move on but we need to separate for some time. I was thinking this through then we pulled up to Suriya's house. Teddy was sitting on the porch. When we got out Teddy said

"Yall, need to find somewhere else to live for a few months!"

I was confused. I mean I have my own place but why is he saying this now.

"Why?" Mariah said

"I have business to handle and people know this location so yall being here is putting yall in danger!" He said shooing us all back into the cars we came in

I hopped in my car grabbed my bags and left. I didn't have a problem with these
arrangements

I do can't believe this shit. I have no where to go but my house. I don't wanna go back there but ti have know choice. I had Suriya drop me off. She was gone go live with Jalen so I'm fucked.

"You gone be straight?" She said

Yep, I'll just be getting beat everyday. I'll be fantastic!!

"Yea, go ahead. I'll call you later." I said

"Ok, call me if you need anything. I mean anything." She said giving me a hug

I nodded my head grabbed my bags an walked through the door. I was starving so I wen the kitchen amd there was no food.

"FUCK!!" I said

"Finally came back." My mother said scaring the shit outta me

"M-mama?" I said

I walked in the living room an there she was snorting white powder in her nose. It was disgusting to see. I went to my room and no there was nothing there. She prolli sold all of my things to by drugs.

"Where is my stuff?" I said walking it on the living room

"Ian kno you would come back so enjoy that empty room." She said dryly laughing

I stormed back to my room and sat in a corner on my floor. I was receiving a call from Aaron.

-Me- Hello?

-Aaron- Uhh... Ion know how to say this... but I think.. we need... to take a break

-Me- Why?

-Aaron- I just think that's what we need right now

-Me- When will this break be over?

-Aaron- A few months maybe... I gotta go bye

--dial tone--

He hung up on my face. I was hurt cuz I loved him. This promise ring basically meant nothing to him. He didn't even give me a legitimate reason why. My life went from perfect to straight living hell.
