Walking around the castle while classes were going was strange to me. One, I was a Headmistress, basically what I should be doing is pondering in my office doing parchment work. But I'd done that. And two, it was strange for me seeing as I felt much more like a student again.
So I decided to disguise myself and make myself look like I did in my 7th year, just so see what would happen.
Firstly, I went to the dungeons and walked past all the classes there.
Nothing happened, so I moved up to the third story of Hogwarts, and was caught out immediately by Professor McGonagall, but then she saw my face and went back to teaching.
The next happened to be Avery because he was opening the door at the time. He store at me for a long moment, before he said, "It's been a really long time since then, you know."
"Did you just call me old?" I asked, narrowing my eyes at him.
"Indeed I did," he smirked, leaning against the door.
"Quite aware that you called yourself old?" I asked.
"Fully."
I crossed my arms, aging yet again, before walking towards him. I shoved him back into his classroom, and back into his chair. I then sat on his desk, turned to his students. Sixth year Gryffindor's.
"Today I'm going to change this lesson into something . . . a little different. Avery, please stand over there, by the window," I added, turning my head to him. I watched his jaw clench slightly, but he walked over. "Now we're all going to practice the spell 'levicorpus'. Non-verbal spell, yes, but it's an easy one."
"Harley," Avery said, well, moaned, eyes wide.
I turned my head to him. "Yes, Caelen?"
"I'm sorry," he said.
"Sorry, boy, can't hear ya, I'm too old to hear you," I said with a smirk, then I looked at the class. "Any voulenteers?"
Quite a few people raised their hands, so I closed my eyes, and chose one. "You, up first. The rest of you, line up behind him."
They did as I said, and I walked to the girl who was standing there. Ginny. "I'm sure you know this spell," I said with a grin, before taking a step back.
She grinned in my direction, and held out her wand. A moment later, Avery was upside-down, hanging by his ankle.
"Fucking hell, Harley! Don't be a fucking bitch!"
I grinned at Avery. "But that's my entire life right there," I told him innocently, "I can't simply stop. Next!"
I dropped him as the next person came up.
"Fuck, sorry, sorry, sorry!" he begged, raising his hands. "This was bad enough back then."
"A little louder, please, I'm old," I said as the next person got him upsidedown.
"You're not old," he snapped, "It felt like yesterday, I was just lying. Now, please stop."
I shrugged. "There you go," I said, letting him down, then faced the class. "A word of this leaves this room, you all get a detention with me, and because of that, I will not be pleased."
"Professor," Ginny said, "What was that even about?"
"He called me old," I said simply.
"He's a death eater," she hissed, "he could do something--"
"He won't," I said. "Ginny, whether you all like it or not, he does happen to be a friend of mine."
"You're still a bitch," Avery growled at me.
"That I can live with," I said with a shrug. I adressed the class again, with a simple lie. "I'm frankly not above torture."
And with that, I walked out of the room and walked around pointlessly.
Then I saw Narcissa and Snape having a conversation in a classroom. I walked in, and raised my eyebrows at the pair of them. "You realize . . . Snape, you have a perfectly unspied on quarters, right?"
Snape raised an eyebrow.
"A quarters of which you're not allowed to leave unless you have my permission," I added.
"And?"
I leaned against the wall, and said, "Then go before you lose your dignity. I've made Avery lose his, and I'm not above yours."
He got to his feet and left, Narcissa following closely, but I grabbed her arm, and she stopped. I watched the door close, then said, "I'm not always going to be there to help Draco keep his humanity."
Her previously clenched jaw dropped slightly, but her lips remained closed. Narcissa looked at me, her eyes coming into contact with mine. "What did you do for him?"
"Albus's death," I said, "I changed his determination to fear."
She nodded slowly. "Thank you, Harley," she said. "I chose his Godmother well."
I put my hand on her shoulder, before saying, "Quite frankly, you didn't. I did use him multiple times two years ago."
"Oh?" she asked, raising her eyebrows.
"Umbridge. Hated her. All that pink," I shuddered. "Now go speak to Severus, and don't be seen. Merlin, I sound like the nuetral party."
I let go of her, before walking out. Classes were about to end, and I better let Pomona get to her classes. I ran to my office, into their room, dismissing Pomona with a 'thank you'.
Remus and Aurora cried when they saw me.
Nyaw, I love ya too.
