I walk home and my mother meets me at the door.
"Where were you?!" she demands.
"Library."
"I told you not to go out damn it!"
I look down.
"I'm sorry."
"Sorry doesn't cut it," she spits out.
"Why are you so worried?"
Her anger fades a tad and she sighs.
"There was another home invasion."
