He stares down at the lifeless body he held in his arms.

Her blood still ran fresh—an open wound that could never be healed.

He looks at the guitar laying next to her body.

It was the thing that cost her her life.

George screams.

He screams and screams and screams, but nobody hears him.

The tears blind him as he fumbles in his pockets. He pulls out a pill bottle.

Those dimes he stole...weren't for the necklace.

He'd already bought it by that point.

He had been contemplating suicide...Eleanor was the only one to stop him.

But now, his only redemption is gone.

George hurriedly opens the pill bottle. He tilts his head back, dumping the small pills of poison directly into his mouth. He takes in one mouthful, then another, and another.

After the bottle is completely empty, he throws it into the street. He fumbles in his pockets again.

He pulls out the guitar pick she'd given him and clings to it.

It doesn't take long for the pills to begin their deadly effect. Soon, George collapses, next to the girl he'd loved.

His name was George.

And he was going to be with the girl who saved him...for the rest of eternity.
