Two
Yesterday was a tiring and stressful day. I should've talk with Trix. Mali pa rin na nag-walk out lang ako basta sa kaniya kahapon. She was just right.
I woke up early because I have an 7:30 am class for this day. Dala-dala ko pababa 'yung magulo ko pang bag. Nakalimutan ko kasi kung anong building at room ako ngayon. So I badly need my schedule to check it.
"Goodmorning, dad." I greeted as I sat on the chair and continue finding that damn schedule of mine.
"I haven't talk to you, yesterday. What happen, honey?" napatigil ako sa ginagawa ko.
"Are you happy, dad? Finally, Trace broke up with me." I even fake a smile.
"Why would I be happy if my daughter is in pain? Astrid, I wasn't happy to see you like that." I look down. I thought dad---nevermind. Ayoko ng pag-usapan pa. I just want to forget everything and move on.
"You want me to kick your ex balls?"
"Dad!?" he laughed. My gosh. Ano bang trip ni dad? Grabe! Nabigla ako sa sinabi niya...
He must be kidding me? But seeing my dad, right now. Wow.I've never seen him laugh like this before. Nakakatuwa pa lang makita mo 'yung dad mo na tumatawa. I know he'll be much happy kung nandito lang si mom. Pero wala kaming magagawa. Mom is in heaven and I know... she's watching us.
He clear his throat when he notice that I was staring at him.
"Astrid, daddy is here. My shoulder is here when you need it. Even my shirt, if you want to cry. I'll be forever here, daddy is always here," I stood up. I hug him and kiss his cheeks.
"I know, dad. Thank you," I went back on my chair and started eating breakfast.
He wants to know what happen yesterday. Wala na akong kawala so I tell everything. Why would I keep it? Ako lang din ang mababaliw, besides... Dad is always by my side to listen in my dramas.
"Are you sure? You were okay?" I nodded my head.
"Super sure, dad. The pain will be faded away. Soon. I'm strong like mom, right?"
"I know, you better go, honey. Goodbye."
"Bye, dad. Be careful on driving! See you later." I said and wave my hands.
I will start this day without having a negative thoughts. No more Trace in my mind.
I went on the cafeteria and ordered for two coffee. Paliko na sana ako sa next building when I saw Kade.
I blinked twice. On this early he was puffing a cigarette? Bigla akong napapunta sa kinalalagyan niya.
Sakto namang tinapakan na niya 'yung sigarilyo. "You know what? Dapat hindi 'yan ang breakfast mo." I said as I put the coffee on his hand.
