Ughh.....School Begins

Riley's POV

I snuggled deeper into the pillow loving the warmth it gave me. I immediately jumped and fell off of my bed landing straight on my face as my super loud and annoying alarm went off. I groaned in pain and rubbed my face with my hand to sooth the pain and without hesitation went and snuggled back into my pillow and wrapped my covers around me trying to drift back to sleep.

''Wakey Wakey Riley baby", mom cooed as she opened my room door. I stayed still hoping she bought my act "I know your awake honey, don't think I'm gonna buy that 'I'm asleep' act." I remained in my position still determined to get a few more minutes of slumber. The room remained silent. Just 5 more minutes. All of a sudden my covers was yanked off me leaving me vulnerable too the cold morning air. I sighed and sat up.

"Fine, fine I'm awake", I said getting my hand tangled in my uncontrolable hair.

"Well up up up don't want to miss the first day of school", and with that she left. My eyes widened as I registered what she said. I groaned and fell backwards into my bed. That's today ughh school is so annoying, I thought out loud. Wait that means.......oh shoot. I jumped out of bed sprinting towards my closet and laying out a outfit before I took a quick shower. How can I be so careless, I thought angrily. I rushed out the bathroom after brushing through my hair. I got my clothes on looking in the mirror to see my reflection. I wore a white short sleeve top with a pair of denim jeans, simple enough. I quickly tied my red hair into a messy ponytail and ran downstairs not bothering to grab a bite to eat or say goodbye to mom and dad.

"Just in time, Ri", Jameson, my brother, laughed as I ran out the front door panting. I rolled my eyes as I hoped into his car not saying anything. "Good morning to you too."

"Whatever hurry up their going to kill me if I don't get to school in under...."I looked at my phone that read 8:02."8 minutes."

"Okay,okay don't get your panty in a knot", he joked. I burst out laughing and stopped quickly to show my sarcasm. He shook his head and sped down the street to our school. I can't believe I forgot what Stephanie and Bryan told me last week ,I thought mentally slapping myself. We were supposed to be looking for a boyfriend today even though I in my heart didn't want too. I never had a boyfriend except for a certain somebody that broke my heart when I first came here to this school. Bryan being the protective friend of course punched the living light out of him, but that didn't lift my spirits. Even seeing my also protective brother, Jameson, pound him wasn't good enough. It made my heart break to see the pain on his face once he took every punch. Stephanie had told me to be there at school 8:00 sharp so we can snatch the 'good ones' before the school sluts do. 10 minutes late wont be so bad, i thought hopefully.

I heaved a sigh as we pulled up into the schools driveway at 8:09. As I got out Stephanie arrived in her car. I watched her park her car and check her reflection before hoping out. You would think she would already be here looking. She wasn't a slut but she loved to hunt for boys and all the guys liked her, who wouldn't. Her blonde hair was always out and curly making her look stunning. She always wore the cutest outfits that made me envy her fashion skills.

"Looks like your not the only one who got caught up in their ' beauty ' sleep", Jameson said with a chuckle as he started for the front door of the school. I shoot him a glare before looking at Stephanie who bolted my way as soon as she saw me. I rose my hands up to prepare for the collision and she squeezed the life out of me as she held me in a tight embrace. As she pulled back her whole face was lit up with excitement.

"You ready to search for that special someone", Stephanie said dragging me to the football feild. I was about to ask about Bryan when a soft hand landed on both of our shoulder. "Bryan glad that you can make it. Looks like we're all late but no need to fear we got about 15 minutes to spear", she laughed joyfully. As we headed to the field I couldn't help but feel eyes on me. I ignored it as we all sat on the bench with me in the middle and Stephanie and Bryan on either side of me.

As Stephanie drooled over the boys and Bryan complained I couldn't help but love every moment I spent with them. Bryan had been my best friend for 6 years now. We always stayed together because most of the time the only people that we trusted was each other and no one else. Stephanie was a transfer student during the first year of high school and we easily became friends due to our bond of music, food and anime. As my mind registered back to reality i realized they were talking to me.

"What did you say?" I questioned as i watched Bryan roll his eyes at Stephaine's expression.

"I think someone likes you", she said looking past me and Bryan. I turned my head and immediately regretted it. Kyle, also known as the greatest player in our school, stared straight into my eyes. My heart beat increased but I wasn't sure why. I hated and despised him since.. well forever and here I was staring at him the most strangest way I had ever looked at someone. My face didn't show it but my eyes did. It showed something pure, i hated it.

" Your seeing things.." I said turning away from that beast. The bell rang and we all got up. Stephanie was talking but I didn't listen. I looked up at the school and sighed. Oh I hate school. As we walked I still felt those eyes on me, those same eyes. I wanted to look back but couldn't I didn't want him to think I showed interest in him. He wouldn't like me, no one likes me and with that we walked into our home room classes separating.
