Kyle POV
Do something extraordinary? What does that mean? I still stayed glued to my spot outside the door watching her make her way to her next class. Why cant my mate be someone.....easy?
"Having a mate that stubborn isn't easy", Nick said from beside me. Shit.
"Nick..."
"Especially since yours is a human.'' I ran my hand through my hair, and looked at him.
"Please don't tell the others, you know how they will react." Nick chuckled and nodded in understanding.
"I wont, now I know where you were last night.'' I looked around as I noticed no one was no longer in the halls.
"Yeah...." Images of her suddenly popped up in my head. Why cant she get out of my head? I started to move past him but was stopped.
"Ugh...that's not a good idea", Nick said grabbing my wrist knowing exactly what I was planning on doing. "We don't know her, our secret may be exposed to the human world and we will be hunted down...and killed.'' I growled in frustration.
"Really...So what should I do, act like an asshole and follow her around like a sad puppy dog.''
"Just, get to know her before you do anything rash..."
"Whatever", I walked away from him determined to claim her. "If not now...then defiantly soon".
Riley POV
I walked out of the lunchroom and towards my locker. Kyle wasn't at lunch, I thought solemnly. I realized what I said immediately and mentally face palmed myself.
"What am I thinking?"
"What are you thinking", Kyle said from beside me, causing me to let out a girlish screech. He gave me a curious look and smirked.
"Nothing..." I mumbled. I took out my new U.S History textbook and my Trig. textbook. He reached out his hands for my books.
"I'll carry those for you", he said grabbing it from my hands. I knew what will be said if I objected so I let him carry it.
"I'm...Umm, going to the...ugh, library...", I said nervously gesturing to random places. My heart pounded endlessly while his eyes gazed upon me.
''Okay", he said heading down the hall towards the library.
I let out a frustrated sigh and followed him, heart still beating a mile a minute. We continued down the long path with me stealing glances his way. He's acting....different. We arrived at the library and I instructed him to place the books where me and Stephanie usual sat.
My phone beeped in my pocket slicing through the silence of the library. I immediately reached for it and silenced it before the librarians heard it. A text from Stephanie.
Stephanie:
Cant make it :( got distracted....tomorrow okay
I heaved a sigh and sent her a okay. "Now I have no one to study with.." I groaned earning a smirk from Kyle.
"I'll study with you", he said offering something I bet no one ever heard him say. At this point I felt as if I can believe in anything. I opened my mouth but i closed it quickly. Should I say...no thanks. He kept his gaze on me making it hard to say no.
"Thanks, that will be..... nice?" I guess he didnt sense the question in my tone because he sat down and stared at the textbooks as if it was going to get up and dance for him. I raised a eyebrow at him and took my U.S History textbook. "So are you good at U.S History?" He scoffed.
