(From Y/N POV)
---------------------------------------

He was one of the most mysterious boys I had ever met. He would always run off to somewhere. He wouldn't eat lunch in the cafeteria with all the other boys. He was distant to everyone he got near. He would often act scared and cautious. He would leave the classroom at the most random times. He skipped school almost everyday. He wouldn't listen to anyone's orders or commands. He would ignore you if you tried to ask him a question. He flinched if you tried to touch him. He gave regretful looks to everyone he passed in the hallway. He wouldn't talk to anyone, even if it was an incredibly important topic.
He was my table mate.

He was Kim Mingyu

"Hey Mingyu?" I whispered, nudging him with my elbow. His head hung low as he slowly averted his attention to me.
"Do you have a pencil sharpener I could borrow? My pencil went blunt." I gave him a hopeful expression. He never spoke to me, or anyone for that matter.
He shakily reached towards his pencil case and pulled out a blue sharpener. He put it on the table and flicked it towards me.
I barely caught it. "Thanks." I smiled and went over to the bin at the front of the classroom.
I came back to my seat with a fully sharpened pencil and a grin on my face. I sat down and left the pencil sharpener in the palm of my hand, holding it out for Mingyu to grab. He just stared at it. He gulped as he looked at it, like he was thinking about whether or not he should take it. But he didn't move, he just stayed staring at it.
"Ahh?" I let out a questioning murmur. Eventually I decided it was getting too awkward, so I placed the sharpener inside his pencil case. He looked back down at his workbook.
Hmm... I wonder if he's upset about something? There has to be a good reason why he tries to be so distant from everyone.
I looked back at the teacher and completed my assigned work.

"Ari? Why do you think Mingyu isolates himself so much?" I asked my best friend while picking at the food which was in front of me.
"Don't ask me these kinds of questions while I'm eating." She said as she stuffed her face with rice. I looked around the cafeteria, he wasn't here like usual.
"Hey Ari. I need to go to the bathroom, I'll be back soon."
I stood up and left the cafeteria. I walked down the hallway, passing a few classrooms and the bathrooms. I was looking for Mingyu, it was kind of obvious. I went straight to my home room. I opened the sliding door and looked inside. But no one was there.
That's weird... Where else would he-
I remembered seeing him walk towards school clinic. Maybe he was in there?
I went to the clinic, letting myself in.
"Can I help you?" The school nurse asked with her month full of food.
"I'm looking for someone, sorry." I responded, searching around the room.
"There's no one here at the moment. Maybe come back later?"
I nodded and walked out.
If he didn't go the the clinic then where could he pos- the rooftop!

I dashed up the stairs that lead to the roof. Before I got to the door, I slowed myself down to looked more casual. I reached my hand out for the handle. But before I could open the door, it swung open by itself. I hit my knee and made me lose my balance and yelp in pain. I shut my eyes tightly as I could feel myself falling. There was no impact though. I poked one eye open to see what was going on. It was Mingyu. He was holding me with his arms wrapped around my waist. All of my weight was being supported by him. His eyes were wide, like he was worried I could've fallen. His gaze met mine, making me brush. I started to get a little uncomfortable, so I cleared my throat to let him know it was okay to let go of me. He hoisted me up on the top step before walking down himself.
"Wait! Mingyu!" I called after him as he left my sight. I ran down the stairs and turned the corner sharply. He was walking into the classroom which was at the opposite end of the hallway. I followed him inside, seeing him seated at his desk.
"Mingyu?" He kept his head down as I walked closer to him. I sat down at my own desk which was connected to his.
"Are you okay?" I asked him quietly. He didn't move.
"Mingyu-yah?" He shuddered as I spoke.
I sighed and placed my hand down on the desk with quite a bit of impact. I felt a growing pain in my palm. I looked down to see my hand over open scissors that laid on my table. I lifted my hand slightly, whimpering in pain as I saw the blood that was spreading over my hand. Mingyu looked down at the mess and licked his lips. There was red all over my desk and skin. I saw his pupils dilate and his irises turn a pinkish-red colour.
"Mingyu-" I stopped talking when I saw fangs slightly sticking out of his mouth. He placed one of his hands on my lower thigh, crawling closer to my face. I moved back as far as I could, instead, falling off the seat and onto the floor. I screamed in agony as I landed straight on the hand I just cut. I scrambled backwards when Mingyu sat in front of me on the floor. I ended up hitting my head on the desk next to mine, making me whine even more. I saw a trail of blood from my desk to where I was currently sitting. He was right there, in front of my face. I decided not to move, it would just make my wound hurt more.
Mingyu's eyes fell to the side of my neck, him licking his lips once more. He held the side of my arm gently as his mouth inched closer to the side of my face. His other hand made its way to my shoulder, again gripping me softly.
Even when I'm about to get my blood sucked he's careful. That's cute.
I closed my eyes as I felt his teeth piercing my skin. My face giving out a pained expression as his teeth punctured my neck. After a minute or two, Mingyu pulled away from me. I opened my eyes to meet his shocked appearance. I reached up to my neck to feel two fading holes, there was no blood or no traces of teeth marks.
So that's why...
Mingyu started to move away from me, walking backwards towards the opposite end of the classroom.
"I didn't mean to. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. It was an accident..." Mingyu was mumbling some nonsense as he distanced himself from me.
"It's okay." I stood up and walked towards him, making him go back until he hit the side wall. I stood in front of him. He was so frightened, not of me, of himself. I placed my uninjured hand on his cheek, caressing it reassuringly.
"Don't worry. I won't tell anyone. I'll help you. Come to me if you need anything. And if anything happens, I'll be there for you." His expression softened at my words, making me smile. He nodded and grinned back.

He wasn't just Kim Mingyu...

He was a vampire.
