"You think she'll wake up soon?" Xiumin pondered out loud, as he took a seat on Baekhyun's small couch for the first time.

"I'm not sure," Baekhyun responded softly with a shaky voice. He's never been a situation like this before.

The girl he tried helping had dropped to the floor of the nightly shivering city. He, himself, almost past out in fear. This was the first time he's seen a person faint. He thought she just suddenly... died. He began shaking her, almost screaming at her to wake up. To his luck, Xiumin had just closed up the cafe and was headed to his car before he noticed them. With his help, they brought her to his car and drove towards Baekhyun's aparment.

A voice was heard by the two men. Whipping their heads towards the bedroom door, they stood and headed towards there.

She must be waking up, Baekhyun thought as he slowly opened the door, the creaking noise not bothering him at all because his nerves were practically electrocuting him.

Greeted by the girl's coughs, both boys went to either side of her to help her sit up. Once she calmed down, it still had not hit her that she was in someone's house feeling warm and comfy in bed, with sheets and a pillow that smelt like fresh lavender detergent.

Baekhyun handed her a glass of water to drink. The liquid, which was lukewarm, soothed what could be described as an itch in her throat.

After gulping down the water in three's, it still took a while for her mind to read her surroundings. When it did, and she finally realized her situation, her heartbeat quickened. Damn it, how did I get here?

At the same time, Xiumin couldn't help but feel very uneasy. He knew who the girl was. Many people around this area of the city did. Many knew where she came from too.

He hasn't heard anything but negative things about her. And all he knew, based on what he's heard, is that people should stay away from her.

"Can I know your name?" Baekhyun's quiet voice delicately cut through the silence, bringing Xiumin and the girl out of their own world of thoughts.

I should probably warn him, Xiumin worried. He wanted to explain to his newly known friend about who he was taking to, but he couldn't bring himself to do so.

"Mina," the girl said with a sharp tone. She smacked the cup onto dresser next to her, causing a crack, and abruptly stood up, heading towards the door, shocking the light-brown haired boy who had asked for her name.

"My name is Mina, and I'm the b*tch who you shouldn't get involved with."

Walking out of the bedroom, she pulled up her hoodie on top. She made sure to slam the main door to get her point across.

When she was outside of the apartment building, she began running towards the only place she believed she deserved to be in. Her eyes stung as her legs pushed through. She had felt so comfortable and warm. So safe. She had felt like someone cared.

When was the last time. . .

Nevertheless, she knew well enough she couldn't accept any of it. None of the comfort, warmth, or safeness.

But she couldn't help but appreciate his actions. Even being the b*tch that everybody knows her as, she felt that she owned him now. She'll pay him back soon.

"Thank you." She whispered, her words coming out as smoke puffs due to the cold air. That'll do for now.

Meanwhile, back at Baekhyun's apartment, Xiumin had to hold Baekhyun back from chasing after Mina.
