14. Finding A Way

3 days till the ritual

"Vincent must've trapped us in here with a spell," Elijah concludes as Klaus slams his body against the invisible barrier.

"No," Klaus says. "I have to get to her!"

Elijah wanted to save Amber too from the ritual, but no one could get in or out of the complex. They would call Davina to help them, but she was definitely not stronger than Vincent Rose.

"We just have to wait Niklaus. Maybe he'll let it down the day of," Elijah tells his younger half-brother.

"I want her now!" Klaus yelled slamming again in the barrier; only to fail yet again.

Klaus slid onto the floor and looked at nothing in particular. Elijah then remembered something, something Amber told him to do.

"Niklaus, go up to your room and find the place that reminds you of Amber; she left something for you," Klaus shoots up at Elijah's words and runs upstairs.

Once he enters his room, Klaus immediately goes to the painting he did of her. He takes it off the wall and turns it around to see a note attached to it. He rips it off and places the painting back. Klaus then reads the note:

So...I guess Elijah told you about the letter right? I'm trying really hard not to cry while writing this because I love you so freaking much. You make me see things in a whole new way, I was trapped in my house before you. Thank you for giving me such an amazing time of my life; I'll never forget it. Even when I'm an emotionless bitch I will never forget you. Maybe there's a way after the ritual, where you can give me a kiss and boom I'm back to normal? I don't know – just kinda wishing for a miracle right now. I hope you live without me though, I don't want to be the one that is making you depressed each day. Please do this for me: live. Go to Paris or Barcelona. Somewhere to get your mind off of things. Maybe then you'll forget about me...maybe you won't. All I know is that I love you and I want you to live a happy life. Goodbye my love, I'll see you soon <3

Klaus read the letter over and over again, wondering what he could have done to keep her. He always lost the one he loved: Cami, Caroline, and so many others he made himseld forget.

"We need to do something Elijah," The hybrid could sense his brother standing in the doorway.

"We can't just go there and kill her family though; she'll hate us forever," Elijah says.

"We just need to get her and hide her. I won't kill any of her family."

"Then we shall go to the place of the ritual in 3 days. Niklaus, we will get your back."
