Chapter 12

I'm sorry I've been a bit inactive. I was trying for this chapter and then Bowie died and all I really did was lie in bed and cry. I started writing more of it and then was greeted with the news of Alan Rickmans passing so my best friend and I just did HP marathons and drowned in tears and vodka. Cancer sucks 💔

It was a late night at Malfoy Manor and only one person was awake. Barty. It had been his turn to keep a lookout over the manor and make sure everything was normal. He sat in the courtyard staring into the darkness, as if it was a comfort.

"Mysti" a voice in the darkness whispered

he lightly shook her shoulder and she slowly awoke

"What are you doing in here, its 3am?" she exclaimed rubbing her eyes

He grinned "I thought we could go on an adventure"

He held out his hand

Mysti yawned quietly

"You're lucky i like you" she smiled taking Scabiors out stretched hand

Mysti laughed "where are we going then?"

"Anywhere we want" he laughed

We rounded a corner came crashing into Barty

"What the hell are you doing" he growled at Scabior who had given Barty quite a shock

"Uhhh sorry mate we were just going for a walk" Scabior said trying to explain

Barty smirked "yeah nice try but no one is to leave the manor, dark lords rules . Better get back to your room. Mate." Barty snarled

Scabior narrowed his eyes at Barty but walked away

"God why do you have to be like that" Mysti asked turning to Barty

"He's a halfblood he should know his place" Barty said simply

"That's the lamest excuse for you're stupid behaviour" Mysti breathed running a hand through her dark hair

Barty laughed loudly turning to face her

"My stupid behaviour? That's the way every death eater behaves but I guess you wouldn't really know considering the whole absent parent issue" he said fiercely

As soon as the words had left his lips he knew he they had hurt her. Barty only had to meet his eyes to hers to confirm it.

"Mysti I'm sorry but he's a rosier Bellatrix would never let that happen" he said quietly

Mysti scowled at him through tears and stormed down the hall rounding a corner and ending up in the kitchen.

She grabbed tissues to wipe her tears

"Please try to avoid putting those in a close vicinity to my coffee" a drawling voice said

Mysti looked up as Snape grabbed a coffee mug that was just in front of her

"Rough times is it?" Snape asked raising an eyebrow

"Barty crouch jr is an ass" Mysti exclaimed through tears

Snape smiled

"Well I won't disagree with you"

Mysti laughed

"Why are you up at this hour" she asked

"Well you see Mysti you weren't the only one to be abused by Barty tonight. So I came in here and had a cry to Voldemort he then made me this coffee and gave me a chocolate biscuit and told me how everything was going to be okay so now were here" he said trying to keep a straight face

"Never do that again you had me going for a bit!" Mysti yelled throwing pillows at him

"Well you better not throw pillows at me again if you want good grades" he said

"Oh haha, very funny" Mysti said rolling her eyes

"Well now you've had ya wee cry you better get to bed. You'll need sleep for tomorrow. Trust me" Snape said intensely

"Oh and don't forget to do the term paper. Page 394"
