"I, um, wanted to know if you'd be my girlfriend?"

"Um, well... I'm going to have to think about it"

Taylor's heart sank, she thought for sure Karlie would have instantly said yes. Things were so well between them.

"Tay, I'm just kidding. I've wanted to be your girlfriend since the first day."

Karlie leaned in and kissed Taylor's pout until Taylor smiled.

"Kar, you scared me. I thought it was about to get all awkward and you'd stop talking to me and -"

"I'm not going anywhere, ever; you're stuck with me now. Come on, let's go get some breakfast, there's a cute diner up the road."

Taylor grabbed her girlfriend's hand and let her lead the way back to the car.

The two of them were inseparable for the next few days. Most of their time was spent driving, talking about everything. Taylor explained to Karlie that he wasn't ready to come out to the world yet, but she was okay with telling their parents and close friends. Karlie understood this, as she wasn't out to everyone in her life either. They were going to act the same way that they had been the last few months, nothing was going to change, at least not to the public eye.

It was the last day of their little vacation, they were going to walk along the beach and have a picnic. They walked, and walked; for the most part they were walking in silence enjoying the sound of the crashing waves. Karlie broke the silence.

"I'm so happy that we got to spend the week together, just you and me."

"I know. I haven't felt this happy in a very long time. I just wish this wasn't our last day; I want to spend more time with you."

"Babe, I know. You're Taylor Swift though, you have millions of people who love you and are very excited to spend the next 15 months with you. And I have a lot of stuff coming up with Victoria's Secret. We're going to be busy, we'll still see each other from time to time, everything will be okay."

"I know, I love my job and I'm really excited for the tour. I'm also really excited for your career to take off. I'm just going to miss you."

"I'm going to miss you too, so much."

Karlie crouched down and began writing Karlie <3 Taylor in the sand. Taylor didn' t know what she ever did to deserve Karlie, she was honestly the best thing that had ever happened to her. She gave Karlie a quick peck on the lips.

"I hope you know that Taylor hearts Karlie just as much"

"Oh, I know."

Karlie winked and grabbed Taylor's hand, they headed back to the car to start their journey home. Taylor took Karlie's phone and looked through the pictures Karlie had taken during their trip.

"Kar, these are so cute. I'm going to post some of them, they're super cute."

"Tay, some of them are super girlfriend-y"

"I know, I'll be careful with what I post. They're so cute though, I want to post them all."

Taylor posted four pictures, one of them was of Karlie kissing her cheek, she didn't care what anyone thought, she was happy and she wanted people to know.

6 hours later, they had made it back to Taylor's apartment. Karlie got Taylor's bag out of the back of the car, and walked her up to her apartment. Taylor hated this, she didn't want this to be goodbye.

"Kar, I know I have to leave tomorrow morning, but do you think you could stay the night? I just want to have one last night before we are separated for months."

"Yeah, of course."
