INGREDIENTS:
1 stick or 1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
HOW TO PREPARE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.Mix together flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in a large bowl until creamy.Add eggs, beat well. Gradually add flour mixture, beating well.Stir in chocolate chips and nuts, if desired.Drop by large spoonfuls onto ungreased pans or cookie sheet.
Bake 8-10 minutes or lightly browned.Cool slightly. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely.
