Into The Night

Chapter 2

Running and running through the forest trying not to get cut by any of the branches. Soon, Ava bumped into something. A group of bear people.

" Uhh hey guys how's it going." stutter Ava.

"Well look what we have here guys. The Wolf Princess" said the leader of the sleuth.

" If you guys even dare to lay one claw on me you're asking for it."

" How cute. You think they we are just gonna obey you, we are not dogs" the rest of the sleuth starts to laugh.

" You got that right Fred" his second in charge said.

"Hold up, just because I "accidentally" killed you son you think that it's okay to call me names? Well here's something to stick inside your head. It was great to hear the the cries and screams of him. It was music to my ears" Fred was starting to get mad. " And you expect me to feel all the grief" Ava started to get into his face. "Well I don't, thanks to me you can't even look at a wolf without trying to attack. And it's great I'm alive cause I will be coming for the rest of them" Ava smiled and started to laugh.

" THAT"S ENOUGH!" Fred yelled. Ava growled. He reached for her neck. Ava tried to dodge it but got caught in his paws.

" Awww papa bear's getting mad. Poor thing" she struggled to say while trying to get loose. Fred roared in her face. " Woah bad breath" she confessed.

Soon out of the woods her brother, father, and some other wolf men in the pack come out with swords, bow and arrows, axes, and knives.

"Oh look, your pack."

"Put her down Fred" growled Alarik.

"What's gonna make me?"

"The little noise in your head of you sons laughter, having fun"

"Because of your daughter he's dead"

"If you kill her, there will be nobody else for you to hate"

" That's true but she needs to feel the pain"

A couple of wolves go for the younger bears and have them in a choke hold. He tightens his grip on her neck. "I will kill her".

" You won't kill my daughter today Fred!" He said while running towards him. Fred throws Ava into a tree, she lays there dizzily. " SAM GET YOUR SISTER AND GET HER OUT OF HERE NOW!" he yells.

Sam picks her up and starts to run towards camp.

"Oh look over there one of my bears are running after them" he says to catch Alarik of gard. Fred takes his knife and stabs him in the chest. "I would've enjoyed killing your daughter, but this is close enough for me. Goodbye Alarik" Fred says as he lays him down on the ground. A tear runs down Alarik's face.

Fred signals the rest of the Bears to follow. The other wolves look over at Leader Alarik and they start to build a carrier to put him on with flowers around him.

Sam gets to camp and puts her down. "Ava you shouldn't of left" He leaves to go back to help his dad. 10 mins later he gets there and he sees that his dad is laying in a bed of flowers, " What happened!" he yells " Joe what happened!"

" I didn't see everything that happened but when I looked over I saw Fred put a dagger in his chest". Sam starts to pace around with his hands in his face.

" Bring my father to camp and make him a proper burial." he says while he starts walk away. "He's a great leader, father, and husband"

Once they all get to camp Ava comes out of her hut. She sees her dad laying on a bed of flowers and starts to cry. Ava drops to her knees. Sam comes over to her and hugs her."This is all my fault maybe if I just listened this wouldn't have happened" She gets up and runs deeps into the forest. Sam watches her go and wishes dad was here cause he would know what to do.

As Ava is running deeper in the forest she bumps into someone. She falls backwards and looked up. There she saw Ace.

"Are you going to a costume party?" Ace said. Ava looks at him in confusion. "Do you speak English?"

Ava looks at him as if he is crazy. Ace puts out a hand to help her up. She looks and smells it. Ace takes his hand away and Ava stands up and starts to walk away.

He then reaches for her tail and pulls it. Ava jumps and turns around and growls. "What the fuck is your problem, I ain't going to a costume party stupid ass. And I sure am not a shit head like you"

" Were you the one in the bushes?"

" No stupid it was a squirrel."

" Oh okay"

" Your such a dumb ass. I was in the bushes"

" So you were the one who said God damn"

Ava starts to blush "Ha no"

"It's okay all da ladies like me for my body"

"How do you even know it was me?"

"Cause I saw something run"

"Well that couldn't of been me"

"Why were you in the bushes then"

"To get my snack"

"What snack"

" You were gonna be my snack"

"Woah hold the fuck up I ain't the one who wants the good times here"

"The what"

"The stick it in the hole" Ava looks at him in confusion. "You really don't know what I'm talking about?"

"No I don't" Ava hears a howl once she finishes her sentence. She turns around and starts walking away.

"Where are you going" he says while following her.

"Home, I have to go and you're leaving to go to your home"

"Let me come with you"

"No you can't come with me now go"

"Why can't I"

"Because you have to go home to you parents"

"What about your parents¨ he says while following her still. Ava stops for a moment and turns around.

"I don't have any parents anymore, I have a brother. But no parents." She tries to hold in her tears.

Woah...... I'll take care of you"

"Don't waste your time"

"But I got the time"

"I'm a wolf. Do you really think I need help from a..... umm¨

"A farmer"

"Yeah that. I don't need help from you I got claws teeth and I'm ten times faster than you. And you think I'll need your help?"

"Well when you put it like that¨ he states. Ava turns back around and starts to run back to her camp for her dad's funeral.

Back at camp there are dancers, a bonfire, and all of the other packs of wolves that have come from other parts of North America. Sam is standing on the leader stand, with all of the other leaders names before him. Ava walks up to him

"What are you doing?"

"Taking charge¨ he says

"Why do you get to take charge"

"Because I'm older than you. Also if you were leader you would just tell people to go kill stuff."

"I see your point, but still I should be second in charge."

"We already got one do you remember Crow. The guy you were suppose to marry."

"I don't need no man in my life. I'm like 2 men in one but a girl"

"Well you say that as if you are one."

Ava growls " So you don't think I am good enough"

"I'm just calling you a girl, not weak"

"When are you gonna stop being an asshole" she turns around and walks away into the dark forest.
