Into The Night

Chapter 8

Cailey is sleeping. She has flashes of Bears, Mountain Lions, Coyotes, Wolves and Deer. She sees a bloody knife and hands with blood on them. She also sees some humans wandering around and some animal stalking them.

"Cailey... Cailey... Get up... Get up" Ava shacks her. Cailey quickly get up shaking. "Cailey it's okay. Why are you shaking so much?". Cailey looks at her terrified.

"I...I...I s-saw Bears..... M-moutain lions.... Coy-yotes... Wolv-ves and D-deer. I saw a bloody knife and hands with blood... Also humans a-and then there is something wandering around them."

"Really?! We can't tell anybody about this. It can be dangerous for anybody to know."

"But not telling can be dangerous too."

"We could go talk to my mom! Come on" Ava starts to walk out towards the cave

"Okay. I don't even know if she even knows what going on"Cailey follows her.

It took awhile to get there. But, the good thing is that they did get there. They both heard footsteps coming from inside the cave so they both hid up in the trees quickly. They then both looked at each other knowing that it would be Sam.

Ava mouths over to Cailey "Don't say a word he can hear a lot"

Cailey thumbs up. And then they both wait for him to pass. They stay up there for 3 more minutes just to make sure. Then they quietly climb down and check to see if he is there. Then they both turn around.

"Hey Ava and Cailey" Sam says while walking up to Cailey. She takes a step back. "Okay what did I do"

"You didn't tell me about mom and you think there is something wrong with us." Ava confessed.

"I do not"

"You do too you think that everything is okay but when you're brother thinks that there is something wrong with you. I'm so mad at you right now you're not telling me things"

"You're not telling me things either Ava." He looks over at Cailey "I already know you don't keep things from me Cailey"

"You still hurt her. She's like my sister and you hurt her. You're lucky you didn't hurt me."

"Why are you 2 even here"

"Well Ava and I are here because we want to speak with your mom."

"Should I come...."

"No" Ava said louder than he did.

"You didn't let me finish my sentence."

"I don't care. You can leave now" Ava demanded

"So I can't stay to be with my girlfriend"

"I said you can leave now" claimed Ava

"Sorry Sam. Ava would like you to leave."

"Fine. Bye Cailey. Ava" He looks at Cailey then over at Ava and walks away. Cailey watches him leave. Ava is already at the front of the cave.

"Ava wait. Maybe we should've just told him what's going on."

"No if he knows then he's going to worry about use and we don't want that to happen."

"Well I can tell you don't want him to worry about us. But, I know you still care for him"

Ava stops walking and turns around "I don't do much caring for people the only people that I really care about is my mom, dad, you, Leon and Ace right now. I already know what you're gonna say, you should care for your brother cause all her is trying to do is help you. Well, right now I don't need his help." She turns back around and starts walking again.
