Into The Night

Chapter 10

Sam gets up from the longest night he ever had. He looks around and notices that he isn't in his hut. Sam get up and looks outside, he is sitting with a group of children. Stevie is playing with them, soon Sam see's Ava walking towards him.

"Hi kids" Ava said "Can you leave Stevie for a second.

"Sure thing" "Okay" "Alright" the children said.

Ava sat down in front of him. "I'm sorry."

"Did I just hear a sorry come from you?"

"I think I have been saying that a lot lately" Ava laughs and so does Stevie. Sam leans up against his hut to listen.

"Ava, you weren't in control of yourself. Don't worry about it."

"I almost killed you!"

"I know you did but you were yourself."

"I sure damn was myself. I can't believe how you can be okay about this." she stands up.

Stevie stands up too "You're my friend. It's Nightmares fault, and it's a good thing that he's dead."

"What if me and Ace weren't a thing and that didn't happen. You would be dead, I might have a little humanity. But, because that I always think about Ace. Not a day goes by when I don't."

"But, I'm fine now. Why would you be mad, I'm alive"

"I mad because I am the one who almost killed you" She starts to walk away.
"Ava, don't be like this"

"I don't really care anymore" Ava vanishes

Stevie sits back down and he rubs his face. Then the children come up to him.

"Are you okay Stevie?" said Rascal Forest

"No Rascal."

"Is there anyways we can make you feel better then?" Abey Omaha

"I don't think so. But you guys should go play with someone else right now I'm not really feeling it today maybe tomorrow."

"Okay" Rascal says. "Come on Abey and Hopi. They all leave to go somewhere else. Stevie gets up to walk back home.

Sam walks up to him "Where are you going?"

"Home. I can't stay here."

"You know how she is now."

"Yeah I know how she is, she is different. She got powers, they came faster then Cailey's. She might have another one coming. She lost her soul, and you expect that she's going to be the same. The two people she really only understands is Ace and Cailey. She won't understand people that are like her brothers. You're her brother and she treats you different. Me and you she will probably treat the same. Maybe. She doesn't want to understand. Her mind is what she thinks she stays to it. Cailey is obviously fine is she was the one that lost her soul to the Nightmare, she would probably act just like Ava. She doesn't care anymore. About me so I'll just leave this place, maybe go back with the other bears."

"You can't do that Stevie"

"Watch me. I ain't gonna do nothing. Maybe I could be like a spy or something for you."

"You could end up dead if you do that."

"Maybe I won't end up dead. Fred won't kill his own brother, no matter if he likes me or not." Stevie starts to walk away.

"Be careful my friend."

Sam watches him leave then goes to announce something to the camp. He goes over the the fire that his people are building.
