Chapter 3: A true love kiss?

Azula got smashed through the wall, but Mai was electrocuted.
And that was bad, really bad.
Azula ran away, again.
But I tried to help Mai.

'Mai!'
'Are you all right?!'

I didn't hear a single sound.
And that meant she was horribly hurt.
I tried to touch her, lift her T-shirt and look at the wound.
But she was full of lightning.
I couldn't touch her, or look at her wounds.
So I thought and thought and thought...
To find a way to help her.
Then I knew it!
My uncle learned a technic to redirect lightning.
Maybe I could use it to help Mai?
And send the lightning out of her body?!
So I tried it.
But it didn't work, then I tried again but with no result.
But the third time it did work!
I bended the lightning away, through the whole that my fire made in our vacation house.
I looked at Mai her wound, it looked bad.
So I carried her to the nearest hospital.
It was small and primitive, but it was better than in our vacation house.

'She got hit by lightning!'
'HELP HER!'
'I already bended the lightning away.'
'I'm sorry but you must leave, female only.' The old nurse said.
'NO, I want to be with her!'
'Come back next week. She is in a coma. Give her some rest.
She'll be fine here.'

And I went back with Appa to Aang, Toph, Katara and Sokka but without Mai.
A few minutes later, I landed in the stall of Appa and I knocked at the door.
Sokka opened the door.
And everyone was happy at first.
But then they asked where Mai was.

'Zuko, nice to have you back, but where's Mai?!'

Sokka was pretty worried.
But he's like the big daddy of the group.
Who's also very clumsy and funny.

'Sokka, don't worry, she's fine.'
'No, she's not, I can tell that you're lying.'
'Tell us what happened.'

I knew I couldn't discuss with Toph, and I better just tell the truth.
So I told them that Azula shot Mai down.

'Azula and I were talking and she got mad...'
'Oh no!' 'What did she do?'

Katara was worried.
But she's always worried.
It's kinda cute.

'She shot lightning at Mai, she got hit in her middle.'

I tried not to cry, but it was hard.
It didn't seem good with Mai.
And I still like her, ofcourse.

'I bended the lightning away, and carried her to the local hospital.
They said it could take a week before she is out of coma.'

They were all sad.
A bit later everyone left and went to their rooms. I went to Katara her room.
She was crying, but very quiet.

'Hey!'
'Hi Zuko...'
'What's wrong Katara, you seem very sad.'
'It's just... Aang and I are having a fight and...'
'It's ok, I went through it before, with Mai.'
'I'm sorry to here that Zuko.'
'It's depressing, don't you think?'

We got in a long talk.
Her tears started to dry and I made her laugh.
My jokes always do the work.

'Do you think you'll ever go back with Aang?'

She hesitated for a bit.
But then she said this:

'I don't know, I'll guess my destiny will lead me where I'm supposed to be.

I looked at her beautiful face when she said that, wiped her tears off.

'If you smile you're way more beautiful.'
'Thanks'.

Said Katara and she smiled again.
I looked in her eyes, and said:

'Your eyes are beautiful.'
'Zuko, you're making me blush.'
'Don't be shy Katara, it's ok.'

She was blushing, I smiled.
And she smiled back.
I laid my hand on her cheek, we both went closer and...
We kissed.
It was intense, but we both liked (or loved) it. After 7 seconds we stopped.
I found it amazing.

'That was... amazing... your lips are soft like a pillow.'
'No, Zuko, we should forget this.'

She left the room.
But I was in the seventh heaven.
Wow. She really was a good kisser.
I didn't regret it.
It was amazing.
But what would Mai and Aang say?

Next chapter will start with Toph talking to Katara.
