Chapter 15: Step 1: COMPLETED!

"No, you can't kill the Avatar."

"Yes I can. I have nothing to lose, and everything to gain."

OMG! WHAT DO I DO?!

"You'll lose me. I don't hate you. But if you kill Aang, I will hate you."

Suddenly the cave was trembling.
Toph came from above the cave and went in.

"What's going on in here? What has happened?"

"You're too late. The show is over."

Azula firebended herself out of the cave.

"Ty Lee what happened? Why is everyone knocked out??"

"I don't know. After the Dai-Li came we were all divided. Sokka and I were alone, and when we found the others the were fighting with Azula. Well, only Zuko was fighting. The others were knocked out."

-Azula PoV-

I can't kill the Avatar in front of them.
What's going on? Why couldn't I kill him? Maybe I'm not a monster. Maybe I felt empathy.
No! Focus Azula.
How do I kill the Avatar without the Gaang knowing I did it? Think...
I have to shoot him with lightning ofcourse, so I need to single him out.
Like today, but then without Zuko.
Which means I need to have the Dai-Li in my control again.
But that weird masked man has them in his control...
II'll pay the Dai-Li a visit, they'll be mine fast.
But where would they be? Hmm...
Ofcourse!

They'll be in the underground tunnels near the fire nation colonies, not far from here, under the earth, and very secret. They'll definetly be there.

-Katara PoV-

I woke up with a HUGE headache.

"Is everyone okay?"

Only Ty Lee was awake from the others.

"I don't know, but Azula is gone."

"Time to wake the others up."

I walked away, towards the river.
I bended a lot of water towards the place where the fight with Azula happened. I divided the water and healed everyone in the room so that they would wake up faster.

-Azula PoV-

I was looking at the Dai-Li.
They were practising while that strange masked man was shouting at them.

"FASTER! STRONGER!"

He was mad at them and stormed off shouting angrily at the Dai-Li.
With him gone it's my perfect opportunity to get the Dai-Li on my side and kill the Avatar secretly.

"Looks like you're having trouble with the new boss."

They didn't expect me and were suprised to see me.

"Uh-A-Azul-l-la! Y-ou-r-r-e fr-r-ree?"

"You don't have to stutter like that, I won't bite. Hahaha. You can laugh, it's a joke."

"We-we have other people leading us now, and you must leave."

"Leaving? Me? Is that how you treat old friends?"

"Our master wouldn't want us to talk to you. Leave now!"

"Well, wouldn't it be sad if your master wouldn't have an army at all? I mean; hypothetical speaking ofcourse."

They swallowed.

"Do you mean you'll kill us? You can't kill us, you're not strong enough."

"No? I'm not? I'm afraid we'll have to find out then. "

I summoned some blue fire in my fists.

"Stop. We'll join you. You win. Now what do we have to do?"

Step 1 of my plan is completed.
Now let's go for round 2.
