Avatar: TLA : The Mysterious man.

Chapter 7: The First Speech.

I read the letter for everyone.

'Dear children,
We are sailing back home, as you will probaly know, but we tried a diffrent route.
And things here are very mysterious.
2 of our men are missing.
And we feel something is wrong.
You saved the world.
I'm counting on you to save me, save us.
Please.'

Love, Hakoda.

There was a map with the letter to show where they were.
we had to help him.

"We have to help him!"

"No."
"We can't."

WHAT?!
AANG WON'T HELP HIM?!
HE IS MY FATHER!

"AANG YOU HAVE TO HELP HIM, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!"
"Katara, Zuko and I have a speech in a few hours."
"BUT MY DAD NEEDS ME!"
"Well, it'll be hard to get there, without Appa."

HOW COULD HE?!
I left and went to my bedroom.

"Wow, she's very upset."
"Toph, since we lost our mother she really changed, she wants to protect and help everything now..."
"Sorry, I forgot that..."
"It's ok, she'll be fine."

Sokka and Toph left.
So only Zuko was left in the room, with Aang.
And it was awkward.

"So, did you, uhm, learn your text?"
"Stop it Zuko, I hate you!"
"I'm sorry Aa..."
"ENOUGH!"
"I'M WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU!"
"NOW COME WITH ME FOR THAT STUPID SPEECH!"

I never heard Aang scream so loud.
He was so angry.
I was very shocked.
I fucked up, badly.
And I hope the speech will be fine...

A few minutes later we were packing our stuff and when everything was packed, we got on Appa.
The tension was high.
Aang was mad and was flying Appa.
But Toph couldn't handle the tension anymore.

"We are not going to fly for 2 hours without anyone saying something!"
"Yeah, what happened over here?"
"Some problems in the lo-o-o-o-ve?"

Sokka was joking, but he was right.
There were some problems in the love.

"Sokka, you're the only one who doesn't know it, Katara and Zuko kissed, that's why everyone is so mad."

He spit out the water he was drinking.

"WHAT?!"
"MY SISTER WITH... ZUKO?!"
"JUCK!"
"AND WHY AM I ALWAYS THE LAST TO KNOW THIS?!"

"Sokka, your overreacting, it didn't mean anything."

Aang came back on the saddle.

"It did mean something to me!"

Aang took his glider and left Appa.
Will he be back for the speech?

"So who's gonna take Appa now, I can't fly him."
"I'll take him!"

I'm sick of it.
I went to Appa's head.
Then an hour later we arrived at the palace in Omashu.
Aang was waiting already.
Ofcourse, only Zuko could go inside the palace because Aang and Zuko would give the speech.
And we were waiting with the other people.

The trumpets started to make music.
Aang and Zuko came.
Everyone was cheering and we too.
They started the speech good and everything went fine.
But when the future plans came up, things got slightly out of hand.
And Aang said:

"And we hope that for the future fire nation, earth kingdom and the water tribe will all live together in peace!"

Some of the crowd was cheering but some others were screaming:

"BOO!"
"WE WILL NEVER BE FRIENDS WITH THE FIRE NATION!"
"NEVER!"
"WE CAN TAKE ZUKO, BUT THAT'S IT!"

Oh no, things were going wrong.

Aang and Zuko didn't really know what to do.

"Zuko, you gotta do something."
"Why me? You're the Avatar!"
"You're the Firelord!"
"You're the Avatar!"
"Alright alright!"

He came a bit closer and tried to interact with the public.

"Calm down everybody, be quiet please!"

Toph heard Aang had trouble silencing the crowd, so she decided to give him a hand.

"EVERYBODY SHUT YOUR STUPID MOUTH!"

And everyone was quiet.

"Thanks Toph, may I ask what's the problem?"

"What's the problem?!"
"THE FIRE NATION DESTROYED OUR HOUSES, KILLED OUR FAMILIES AND DESTROYED OUR CAREERS!"
"AND THEY STOLE ALL OUR MONEY!"
"YEA!"
"WE WILL NEVER BECOME FRIENDS WITH THEM!"
"YEAH!"
"WOOHOO!"

The whole crowd cheered.
They all hated the fire nation.
Until Zuko changed their minds, well some of them.

"NO!"
"YOU'RE ALL WRONG!"
"PEOPLE DON'T DO THAT BECAUSE THEY ARE FIRE NATION, THEY DO THAT BECAUSE THEY ARE AFRAID OF OZAI!"

Zuko spoke the truth.
And a lot of people realised that, but not all.

"He's right!"
"We've been looking at it wrong!"
"NO HE'S FIRE NATION TOO!"
"HE'S LYING TO US!"
"No, he just said the truth!"
"LIES!"
"TRUTH!"

The public quickly split up in 2 groups:

Pro Fire nation and anti fire nation.

But it escalated fast.
People started to fight, some even used bending to hurt eachother!
So Toph and I decided to help order return.
But I got hit by a rock on my leg, it didn't hurt much, but Aang got mad from it and got in to the Avatar state.
Everyone stopped and looked at Aang.

"YOU SHALL ALL STOP FIGHTING AND HAVE PEACE!"

Zuko calmed Aang and together they went back inside.
The people started saying Aang was bad!
I wanted to say the truth to them, but Toph said we should go and pack our stuff because we were going to help Hakoda, my father after this.

"DOWN WITH THE AVATAR, DOWN WITH THE FIRE NATION!"

these are the only things I can remember.
