Ricks PoV

"You idiot you did this on purpose didn't you" I snap at Lorcan. "Sorry bro I just thought he'd be embarrassed or turned on, I didn't think the poor little thing would faint" he says looking sheepish. "You should not have ruined my shirt with coffee knowing he'd knock when I was half naked Lor, not cool bro" I scold him. I lift up Theo and lay him on the couch while I fetch water and a facecloth from Lorcan's private bathroom. I dab his forehead lightly hoping he'll wake soon.

After five minutes he stirs but before I can even open my mouth to utter a word, he bolts upright clashing our foreheads together in the process "fuck, ow" I curse on instinct just as he says "fuck me that hurts" he looks at me stunned and I see the internal panic setting in straight away. "Calm down your not in trouble-" I start. "Please don't fire me, I'm sorry I walked in on you naked and I'm sorry I fainted but I'm really, really sorry I banged our heads together, I need this-" he rambles in one full sentence. Lorcan cuts him off "hey, future brother in law chill, he said no trouble, it was my fault, I was playing a prank on you both so I'm in trouble not you".

"Ok sirs, I'm sorry and I'm fine now I'll just leave" he mumbles. I don't want him to leave it like this so I ask Lorcan to leave, he does grumbling about this being his office but I ignore him. "Are you alright?" I ask Theo once we're alone. "I'm really fine, embarrassed, but fine. I can get to work now" he reassures me but I am not done with him yet. "Can I ask you something" he nods "will you let me take you out on a date?" He looks stunned and it's cute but then I see his expression change "I'm sorry but I can't" he looks upset at his own words but I don't understand.

"Why not, I hate to be blunt but it's obvious you like me and I'll be honest I like you too. What's stopping us?" He just looks depressed now and he's breaking my heart "your blunt and honest which only makes me like you more but I can't do this, now can I please go back to work" it's my turn to be stunned, he said no. I'm not being cocky but like I said, we like each other, I'll leave him alone for now but I'm not done here, I'll find a way to get my little beauty in my arms.

"Ok, my snow angel, I'll let you get to work but I'm not giving up on us, off you go" he breaths a sigh, or relief or sadness I don't know, but he then takes a deep breath and stands. Just as he turns to leave I say "oh and snow angel, take this and think it over" with that I kiss him, he stiffens in my arms but soon relaxes and kisses me back. I realise him and turn him toward the door, as if on auto pilot he starts to leave, when he reaches the door I hear him mumble "no fair" and I can't stop the laugh that comes out of my mouth.
