028 | Chapter Twenty-Eight

The girls had planned to stay up late for the New Years, but exhaustion had gotten the best of them and they were now all asleep in the living room. There was a knock at the door, but none of the girls woke up. The door opened a moment later and Gayoung walked inside. She gave a small sigh and smiled at the girls who were messily laying on the ground and couches.

"How did I know?" She chuckled before she placed a folder on the table and walked back out the dorm–quietly closing the door behind her.

Lin was the first who woke up. She sat up from the couch and groaned as she stretched–her back aching and her neck stiff. She sighed and grabbed her phone, looking at the plethora of texts and missed calls she had. She clicked her tongue and unlocked her phone, going through the texts.

She was about to select another text thread, but she looked at the name before she did. Sohyun. Her finger hovered over the name before she lightly tapped it, opening the message. She read it and sighed, she texted back saying happy new year but she wished she had more to say–she just didn't know what to say.

"Linny?" Qian yawned

"Hm?"

"Is there breakfast?" Lin chuckled and stood from the couch

"I'll make some now." She replied, Qian gave a small nod and snuggled into her pillow. Lin made her way to the kitchen but stopped when she noticed the folder on the table. She picked it up and glanced inside where envelopes with each girls names were on the front. She placed it down and raised an eyebrow before making her way into the kitchen to make breakfast for everyone.

"Happy New Year, everyone." Xhiu yawned as she walked into the kitchen where everyone else was.

"Happy New Year!" They all exclaimed as they sat down, ready to eat. Lin placed all the food down for the girls and everyone dug in.

"It's a shame we fell asleep so early," Juyeon sighed "Chen invited me over." Xhiu and Lin nodded in response.

"Sora didn't even get her New Years kiss!" Qian grinned

Sora rolled her eyes, "Shush!"

"They're meeting up tomorrow, just give it time." Lin grinned

"You read my texts?" Sora questioned

"No, I heard you two on the phone." Lin replied with a small smile. Sora rolled her eyes but nonetheless she chuckled.

"The year went by quick," Juyeon said, the others nodded in agreement.

"So, what're we going to do today?" Xhiu questioned as she took a sip of her drink.

"Let's do something fun!" Qian exclaimed

"It's cold outside, though." Lin groaned

"Then what're we going to do?" Sora questioned

"No, let's go out–I'll endure it." Lin said, making the others laugh.

"Let's go to Everland!" Juyeon squealed

"Are you serious?" Xhiu questioned

"It's not a bad idea," Lin shrugged

"You hate roller coasters, though." Qian pointed out

"Who said I'd go on any roller coasters?"

"We'll meet back here at seven, okay?" Gayoung said

"I feel like I'm on a field trip." Qian said

Gayoung rolled her eyes, "Split into groups if you please." She said and everyone got into groups, Lin stayed beside Gayoung and linked arms with her.

"I don't want you to be all alone." She smiled, Gayoung chuckled and patted Lin's hand. "Let's go!" Lin exclaimed as she pulled Gayoung in the direction of the Zoo.

"What do you want to do?" Qian questioned as she and Juyeon stared at the map.

"Can we at least get food first? I'm hungry." Juyeon pouted, Qian laughed and nodded in response. "I'm in the mood for chicken." She muttered as she glanced around at their surroundings. Her eyes landed on one of their themed restaurants and she pulled Qian towards it.

"Yah!" Qian exclaimed as they walked into the restaurant.

"What do you want?" Juyeon questioned as she stared up at the menu.

"Let's go on the teacups!" Xhiu said as her and Sora stood in front of the ride. "Please~"

"Okay," Sora chuckled as the two made their way over to the line. The line moved quickly and soon they were in the teacup. They were about to close the safety door before someone else stepped in the teacup.

"Sorry! It says three to a ride, though!" The person exclaimed, Sora squinted at them, not able to make out who it was. "Really?"

"Taemin?" She questioned with wide eyes, "What the hell are you doing here?"

"This park is open for everyone, not just you." Taemin laughed as the ride started. "Don't be so loud, I don't want to be recognized." He said as he adjusted his mask. "Gayoung told me, if you must know."

Sora raised an eyebrow, "She did?" He nodded

"These types of rides are short," Xhiu said as the ride was coming to an end. Xhiu was the first out and Sora was about to get out, but Taemin stopped her. He pulled her mask down a bit, his as well and leaned forward, placing a small kiss on her lips.

"Happy New Year, Sora." He grinned before getting off the ride, leaving Sora flustered.

"Yah!" She exclaimed as she chased after him.
