Chapter 29

** okay guys so I'm just gonna tell you wants happened in the last chapter. **
Emily told Caleb about her investigation into Kyle, whom she really likes. After Caleb and Emily had that talk Danny came home with a drunk Shane. Oh and school starts tomorrow
** and that brings us here. **

**Emily's POV**

I walked upstairs, I can't believe that school starts tomorrow.

"Shane you know school starts tomorrow right?" I said knocking on his a Danny's door

"He's out, but don't worry I'll wake him up early so he can get it out of him.

"Okay goodnight big brother" I said walking to my room

"Goodnight little sister." Danny said as I left the room

"I walked to my room and slept, I'm really nervous for tomorrow.

** Next Morning **
Everyone was already up.
"Okay what to wear?" I said and picked out black shorts and a loose black and white stripped top that fell of the shoulder a bit, with some black combat boots, I straightened my hair and applied a bit of makeup.

I walked down to see Jason cooking breakfast

"Hey I didn't hear you get in last night" I said to him

"I know I got in really late, I was over at a friends house and we lost track of time" he said flipping eggs

"Was it a girls house?" I said curiously

"Not what your thinking Emily and it wasn't just two people it was me Jess, Michael, and Trina" he said flipping a second egg

"well okay, so are you ready for your first day as a senior??

"yea, you ready for your first day as a sophomore?"

"yea." I lied, i'm honestly terrified, you see Freshman year was supposed to be the year where I made a name for myself, maybe start a trend or two, and make sure I was friends with everyone, I already had the popular card, cause I had 4 older brothers and they were cool, Caleb instantly made friends and was super popular cause he was on the varsity football team when we were in 8th grade cause he was just amazing at it, so he was already friends with the older guys, and the guys in our grade wanted to be his friend so they could be cool too, and not to mention all the girls wanting to go out with him.  Here is where my failure began, I thought  that having 4 popular brothers was going to make me popular too I thought  I had the popular card, turns out having 4 cool, popular brothers just left me looking like the untalented outcast, nobody payed any attention to me, I even thought I was untouchable at one point.. that isn't true, I got picked on a lot cause i wasn't as talented or as popular, a lot of those things, luckily I had my friend Nyah by my side to help me through all that, and I never told my brothers, but Nyah moved to England, extremely far away, and we can hardly ever talk, so hopefully this year people aren't as cruel and I will hopefully have some respect. I know what you're thinking and Caleb did know that something wasn't right but I always convinced him it was nothing.

This year i have more classes closer to Shane and Danny and Jason, along with Caleb whom I have every class with.

"Emily you look like a slut change" said Shane rubbing his head with his eyes closed so obviously hungover

I didn't take offense to the comment because I know he doesn't mean it, but that doesn't mean I can't still yell at the top of my lungs to make his ears bleed... and so I did

"AHHHHHHHH" I screamed close by him and then ran up the stairs as fast as I could, then I heard what sounded like a scream followed by crying... I have succeeded!

"What did you do?" Asked Danny

"I may or may not have screamed really loudly in Shane's ear and made him cry.... And by May or may not I mean I did, and I don't regret it for a second." I said smiling triumphantly

"Are you sure about that?" Said Danny pointing behind me

Oh no... He can't be... If he is i'm gonna die...

I turned around slowly and sure enough he was there, madder than ever... Well good bye world it's been fun.

"I'm gonna make you regret it." Shane said

"No no please I was just- cause you called me a- I didn't mean it I- I swear." I begged walking away from him with my arms out in front of me

"I.dont.care." Was all he said and then he lunged at me, picked me up and threw me over his shoulder

I punched his back and screamed as loud as I could but he was still standing

" what the heck is going on?" I heard Caleb ask Danny

"Emily screamed at Shane cause he was being mean and so now this is happening" Danny said pointing down stairs at me punching Shane and him just walking around.

"Makes sense" was all Caleb said and went back to do what he was doing

Eventually Shane will throw me down somewhere and either tickle me or hit me with pillows

And just as I predicted he threw me on the couch

"No please Shane it's the first day of school, and my best friend isn't here anymore, I really need to look my best today if I want even the slightest chance of making friends." I begged

"Well in that case... I guess you'll be friendless" he said hitting me with pillows

"Alright enough!" Jason said

"Em go fix yourself" Jason said "wow thanks!" I said

"And Shane go drink an Advil or a chill pill or something and leave her alone" he said.

"Fine."
