The limo kept driving through Auradon and passed a sign that said "Welcome to Auradon Prep. Goodness doesn't get any better."
Marissa silently scoffed at the stupidity. Won't be there for much longer she thought and couldn't help but smirk. Finally the limo pulled into a quad, where there were signs that read, 'WELCOME!', students waving flags, and even the marching band was playing.
The driver opened door to the limousine, and Carlos fell onto the hard pavement, a piece of some kind of fabric in his grip. Jay followed out after him, holding the opposite end of the fabric. He placed his foot over Carlos's chest, pulling the object up to his level. The marching band stopped playing, and backed away from the bickering villains.
"You get everything else! Why do you want whatever this is!?" Carlos demanded in frustration.
"Because you want it!" Jay replied through gritted teeth, as he was trying with all his might to pull the fabric away from Carlos. As the boys fought, the three girls slipped out.
"Guys, guys, guys," Mal whispered. "We have an audience."
Both boys stopped fighting, and looked up to see a middle aged looking women, walking towards them. The girls tried their best to look presentable. Mal and Evie put their hands on their hips, and Marissa, not exactly caring, crossed her arms over her chest.
Jay spit out a piece of candy that he had been holding in his teeth. "Just, cleaning up." He lowered his hand and grabbed a hold of Carlos by the jacket. "Get up." he muttered.
"Leave it like you found it," the women said, in a voice like honey. "And by that, I mean just leave it." Jay threw back the stuff he had taken from the limousine.
Jay looked over to the front, where two other teens stood with the lady. He automatically waltzed over to the fair looking girl. "Hello foxy. The names Jay." He flashed her one of his most charming smiles.
The girl laughed uncomfortably at Jay's flirting. The women stepped in between the two teens. "Welcome to Auradon Prep," she said. Jay's smile faltered and he stepped back to where the others stood. "I'm Fairy Godmother, Headmistress," she said, curtsying.
"The Fairy Godmother?" Marissa asked, perking up at the new topic. "As in Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo?"
"Bibbidi Bobbidi, you know it," Fairy Godmother answered with a smiled.
"Yeah," Mal said. "I always wondered what it felt like for Cinderella when you just appeared out of nowhere. With that sparkly wand and warm smile. And that sparkly wand."
"That was a long time ago. And as I always say don't focus on the past or you'll miss the future!"
"It's so good to finally meet you all," the boy said, stepping forwards. "I'm Ben."
"Prince Benjamin," The girl corrected with a smile. Marissa didn't know if anyone else noticed how fake it looked. "Soon to be King."
"You had me at prince," Evie said dreamily. "My mom's a queen, which makes me a princess." Evie curtsied to Ben.
The girl standing opposite to Ben shook her head. "The Evil Queen has no royal status here. And neither do you." Evie's smile faltered, and she took a step back, but not before glaring at the girl.
"This is Audrey," Ben said awkwardly, introducing the girl with him.
"Princess Audrey," she reminded him, taking his hand in her own. "His girlfriend. Right Benny Boo?" Marissa smirked. Benny Boo?
"Ben and Audrey are gonna show you all around and I'll see you tomorrow," Fairy Godmother said in the most gentle and sincere tone any of them had ever heard. The Headmistress dramatically broke apart Ben and Audrey's hands. "The doors of wisdom are never shut! But the library hours are from 8 to 11. As you may have heard we have a little thing about curfews." And with that the Headmistress left with the Marching Band following behind her.
There was an awkward silence among the seven teens after she left. Finally Ben took his chance to greet the Descendants. He approached them as confidently as he could.
"It's so so good to finally meet—" He went to shake Jay's hand, but Jay stopped him by giving him a fist in the chest. "you all." Ben gave him a grin instead, and Jay grinned right back with his signature mischievous smile.
He shook Mal's hand next, and took a brief moment to study her face, before continuing down the line. "This is a momentous occasion. And one that I hope will go down in history." After shaking Carlos's hand, he brought it right back up, noticing the smell on his hand. "Chocolate?"
He shook Evie's hand and nodded. Marissa shook his hand firmly, showing no fear at all. "As the day our two peoples began to heal."
"Or the day that you showed five peoples where the bathrooms are." Mal said.
Ben couldn't help but chuckle and smiled at Mal. "A little bit over the top?"
"More than a little," Mal said.
"Well, so much for my first impression," Ben replied. The two shared a light hearted laugh.
Audrey, not liking how friendly they were getting, intervened. "Hey, your Maleficent's daughter, aren't you? Yeah, you know what? I totally do not blame you for your mother trying to kill my parents and stuff." Audrey said, a smile plastered on her face. "Oh, my mom's Aurora. Sleeping Beauty."
Mal took a deep breath before speaking. "Yeah, I've heard the name. And I totally do not blame your grandparents for inviting everyone in the whole world, but my mother, to their stupid christening."
       "Water under the bridge?"
"Totes!" The two shared a fake laugh, before it died down awkwardly.
Ben clapped his hands, "Okay. How about a tour?" The villains exchanged unimpressed looks, but had no objections. "Auradon Prep. Originally built over three hundred years ago and converted into a high school by my father when he became king."
Ben led them through a garden with hedges, topiary, flowers, and a large statue right in the middle of King Beast himself. Ben clapped his hands and the human statue morphed into a beastly one. Frightened, Carlos screamed and jumped into Jay's arms.
"Carlos, it's okay," Ben reassured him. "My father wanted his statue to morph from Beast to Man. To remind us that anything is possible."
"Does he shed much?" Mal asked, jokingly.
"Yeah, my mom won't let him on the couch," Ben said, a serious look on his face. Mal furrowed her brow, and gave him a wry smile.
Entering the main corridor of the school, Mal decided to subtly question Ben, hoping to gain information on their mission. "So, you guys have a lot of magic here in Auradon. Like wands and things like that?"
"Yeah, it exists of course," he answered. "But it's pretty much retired. Most of us here are just ordinary mortals."
Marissa rolled her eyes. "Who just happen to be Kings and Queens?"
Audrey smiled and forced Ben's arm around her shoulder. "That's true. Our royal blood goes back hundreds of years."
Silence fell for a few seconds before Ben turned his head, noticing a nerdy looking boy in a marching band uniform at the top of the staircase. "Doug! Doug, come down." Ben met Doug at the bottom of the staircase. "This is Doug. He's gonna help you with your class schedules as show you the rest of the dorms."
He walked back to Audrey and turned towards the five villains. "I'll see you later, okay?" Though the statement was mostly directed at Mal. "And if there is anything you need feel free to—"
Audrey cut him off. "Ask Doug."
The couple left and they all turned to Doug. "Hi guys! I'm Dopey's son. As in Dopey, Doc, Bashful, Happy, Grumpy, Sleepy, and—" His eyes fell on Evie and he gripped his clipboard tighter. "Heigh Ho."
"Evie," she said walking towards him flirtatiously. "Evil Queens's daughter."
"Right, well, about your classes. I put in the requirements already. History, safety rules for the internet, and, uh, remedial goodness 101."
Marissa scoffed over his shoulder. "Let me guess. New class?" Doug nodded sheepishly at both the class and how close Marissa and Evie had been standing to him.
"Come on guys," Mal said, popping a piece of candy into her mouth and dropping the wrapper on the floor. "Let's go find our dorms." The five of them started up the staircase closest to them.     "Oh, uh, yeah. Your dorms are that way, guys." Doug said, directing them to the opposite side of the room.
Marissa and the others followed in line, going the opposite way. As they were leaving Doug started to go over what he had forgotten last time. "Dopey, Doc Bashful, Happy, Grumpy, Sleepy, and," He stopped trying to think of the last one. Carlos paused his walking and said, "Sneezy." Doug tipped his head back in defeat.
