"Why does it have to be a rainy Monday morning? I mean, just the fact that it's Monday is bad enough, but seriously? Ugh."

Sting mentally groaned as he and Natsu trudged through the rain. They had moved into the their new house, and now it was their first day at Sabertooth Academy. While Natsu and Wendy were both still upset about moving, Sting couldn't help but be filled with excitement. Finally, after all those years... He was finally going to see Rogue again. Just the mere thought put a goofy smile on his face.

"Hello? Earth to Sting!"

Suddenly Sting was pulled out of his thoughts as Natsu waved his hand in front of his face. He blinked a few times   And felt his cheeks heat up.

"Whoops, sorry... Just kinda excited, y'know? I mean, new friends, new opportunities..."

He said nervously, trying to change the subject. But instead Natsu simply gave him a huge grin.

"Don't give me any of that crap, Sting. You're only excited because you want to see Ro-"

"SHUT UP NATSU THIS IS A PUBLIC PLACE."

Natsu raised an eyebrow, unimpressed.

"Sting, this is a bus stop. And currently, were the only ones here." He stated bluntly.

Sting looked away, cheeks slightly pink.

"...whatever."

Soon, the huge yellow bus rolled into sight, a cloud of thick grey smoke trailing behind. Sting took a deep breath, his excitement and nervousness growing. Here we go.

As they hopped onto the bus, they noticed that instead of the kind, friendly miss Mirajane that they were used to greeting them on the bus, instead, a scowling, dark-haired woman sat, glaring at Sting as he stood at the front of the bus.

"Well, are you just gonna stand there or are you gonna sit down? We don't have all day!" She growled.

"Y-yes miss...!" Sting stuttered as he quickly shuffled down the aisle of the crowded bus. Luckily, there was an empty seat in the back, so he plopped his stuff down there. Natsu followed close behind, and soon, the bus began to make it's way down the road.

Woah.

Sting found himself face-to-face with certainly the biggest school he'd ever seen in his life.

It looked as though it was a castle, with two midevial-looking towers on the sides of the main building, a polished marble structure with the words "SABERTOOTH ACADEMY" Written in bold above the entrance way.

He hesitantly took a step foward, feeling intimidated by the school's professional appearance. He could only imagine what the students and teachers were like.

As he walked through the huge double-doors, he suddenly felt alone. Natsu had already left, hoping to get to class 'early', which was very unusual for the fire mage. The hallways were filled with students, all chatting and leaning against walls and lockers, all talking amongst themselves. Sting weaved his way through the groups, only running into the occasional student, muttering a quick "sorry" and continuing on his way.

He took the crumpled schedule he had received the day before, trying to locate his locker. Suddenly, he felt himself slam into someone, but instead of catching his balance, he fell right over whoever he had ran into. They let out a small "oof!" That was awfully high-pitched, so he could only imagine that they were female.

"I'm so sorry! H-here, let me help you up..." He said, quickly grabbing his things and extending his hand. The girl took it, and was now facing Sting so he could get a good look at her. She had short silvery hair, and the biggest brown eyes he had ever seen. She wore a pale blue and white blouse, as well as a mini skirt. Suddenly, her eyes widened in recognition.

"S-Sting?"

"Yukino?!"

They embraced each other tightly, Yukino pulling away quickly to look him straight in the eye.

"What are you doing here? I thought you moved away seven years ago?" She asked in disbelief.

"I did! But we moved back... Wait a minute, do you still know Rogue? I need to find him immediately...!"

Yukino's eyes lit up. "Of course! I was just talking to him a few minutes ago, he's probably still around here somewhere... C'mon!" She exclaimed as he grabbed his wrist and pulled him through the crowded hallways, bobbing her head above the sea of people. Suddenly she stopped.

"There he is! Hey Rogue!" She called out, waving him over. Sting felt a sudden nervousness wash over him. He hadn't seen Rogue in over seven years, and there was no promise that things would be the same. But it was too late to think about it now.

The raven walked over, a small smile on his face as he approached.
"Hello Yukino. H-" Suddenly he stopped as he turned to Sting. He stared for a moment, his eyes sparkling with something that Sting couldn't quite read. Sting felt his stomach knotting. What if he didn't remember him? What if he was mad at him for moving? After what seemed like hours, Rogue finally spoke.

"S-Sting?! Is that really y-"

"Rogue, who is this?" A menacing, female voice sounded from behind Rogue. Sting had no idea who it was, but he knew almost immediately that he didn't like her.

Not one bit.
