I get to the precinct and meet Elliot at our joining desks. He hands me a cup of coffee and I thank him. But then I realise I can't drink caffeine... If I'm pregnant...
"Thank you, but erm. Is this de caff?" I ask
What the hell Olivia! Sound pregnant much?!
"Since when do you care?"
"Since.. I erm.. Went on a diet" a white lie. Because it's not a full lie, I am going on a diet, I'm not eating or drinking things that could hurt my baby!
"Why? You don't need to go on a diet! Your barley 150 pounds!"
"Ha! I wish!" Which I do wish actually!
"No seriously Liv, what's up?"
"Nothing! I just...thank you, but I'm not in the mood for coffee"
"Okay... Who are you and what have you done with my Livia!?"
He called me his?
"What?!"
"You must be sick! Turning down coffee? Liv are you feeling okay?" He asks pressing the back of his hand against my forehead
"Get off of me! I'm fine!" I laugh just as Cragen walks out of his office.
"Ah, Liv. Now you are here I need you both to finish your dd5s" he says
Me and Elliot both groan as we sit at our desks.
Is this all he brought me in for?! God!
I feel El's eyes on me. I can some how feel him watching me, and it's creeping me out!
"See something you like?!" I joke
"Yeah!" He laughs back." Hey I was wondering, if you wanna go out for drinks later"
"Erm, don't you remember what happened last time we 'went out for drinks' ?" I ask
"Yeah... Exactly" he smiles
"El, I don't thinks that's such a good idea!"
"Why not. Okay then, how about we just get drinks. On me?"
"I can't anyways"
"Why can't you?"
"Oh, I erm. Diet. I'm trying to cut down on drinking" I say.
That was also a white lie, been as I am cutting down. But not exactly cutting down, more like giving up. But he doesn't have to know that.
"Yeah okay! How about.."
"El seriously? The last time me and you did something together, alone! It didn't end well!"
"I thought it did!"
"Yeah well your not the one.." I stopped myself in my tracks.
"I'm not what?"
"Nothing, please just drop it!"
