The nurse makes sure everything is okay, then leaves to give me and Elliot some space.
"Liv, look. I know that this wasn't planned or anything, but I want you to know that I am going to be here for you. No matter what! Okay? I'm here whenever. Even in the middle of the night when she need her diaper changing or she needs feeding. Whatever, whenever. Hell I'll even move in with you, if that's what you want. I want to be in this baby's life, just as I want to be in your life!" he smiles
His little speech brought me to tears.
"Hey, hey Livia don't cry. It's okay"
"I know, I just, didn't expect you to want her, or me"
"No way! No way would I pass up this chance! The chance to be with you, and our daughter. Taking her to school, meeting her friends parents. Having birthdays. Having parties. Celebrating. Wiping her tears when she is sad. Making her feel better. Taking her out. Doing things, as a family" he smiles as he puts one of his hands on my shoulder and the other gently touching the top of her tiny hand.
"As a family?" I ask
"As a family" he confirms
"Well, what does that mean for us?" I ask
"What do you think?" He asks
"I don't know, that's why I asked!"
"Well, Livia. I'm gonna tell you a little secret. I'm not only happy because we have a daughter now! But in happy because I get to spend even more time with you!"
He confesses
