Chapter 5

(Eren POV)

I unbuckled my seat belt and opened the car door, almost hitting Levi, who was standing behind it.

"Wow. Attempted murder, so early in the day too."

I smirked at Levi's words. He really was a joy to have around.

"Well aren't you 100 centimeters of pure sass?"

Levi walked ahead of me a few feet and then stopped.

"That's 160 centimeters to you brat."

Levi grabbed my crutches and handed them to me. I slowly positioned them and looked up at Levi. He was staring silently at me with a small frown on his face.

"Something wrong?"

I tilted my head in confusion.

Was I bothering him?

Levi's frown faded once he saw my confusion and he smiled.

"Nope, just thinking about the asshole who put you in crutches and how if I ever find out who he is, I'm going to tear out his limbs piece by piece."

If only, you knew...

I smiled warily at the exchange we had and we talked all the way to the front door.

We stepped inside and the frigid air made me want to run the other way, but I didn't.

I didn't want to upset Levi. I was just getting to know him.

"Welcome to my own personal version of Hell."

Levi mockingly bowed down in front of me and smirked.

I smiled and went forward.

The room was still as barren as ever. Somehow the cold air made the atmosphere even worse.

"Wow, I'm honored to be here."

I went along with Levis joke as my eyes wandered around.

"Well, brat get ready to be born again. We are going to have so much fun going up the stairs with your crutches. Yay."

I gulped as I took in what Levi said.

How the hell was I going to get up those fucking stairs?!

"Okay so I have two ideas. One, I carry you up the stairs bridal style and if we fall, oh well. Two, I help you like an elderly woman up the stairs. Chose your preferred mode of transportation Eren."

I blushed madly, at the thought of Levi carrying me up the stairs, like some newlywed couple.

But, I didn't want to cause him trouble by making him help me all the way up the stairs.

"Uhhh...Option one sounds the fastest."

Levi nodded and lifted me up in one big swoop.

"HOLY SHIT. AT LEAST GIVE ME A WARNING!"

Levi chuckled, the sound bouncing off the white walls.

"You're hilarious brat."

I laughed back at him as he walked up the stairs and put me down.

"That was fun."

He scoffed at me as he set me down on the ground.

"Sure brat. Wait here I'm gonna go grab your crutches."

I nodded and grabbed the railing of the stairs.

Levi came up to me with my crutches and handed them to me.
