Candles littered the stone floor, casting eerie glow around the inner sanctum. Hooded figures filling the room with ominous chanting and their combined dark aura. Clad in shades of black and red indistinguishable to the untrained eye. Three over-sized chairs stood atop the solitary raised landing in the room; the center of which rose higher than the others. There he sat, garbed in black suit and tie unlike the rest of his twisted and cloaked congregation. Seth; the god of chaos and darkness incarnate; my father. To his right sat the one man he feared, though he would never admit it; Death himself. His ink black hair a compliment to the obsidian silk of his ceremonial robe. Seker, they call him to his face; Stephen to any who dare speak of him outside these ceremonies. To my father's left, looking as bored and uninterested as ever, was Corbin; the son of Death. No, I'm not joking; even Death had a bit of a "wild side" apparently. His own hood slipping forward to shield his jade green eyes, his left hand propped up his slowly drooping head. Where was I during all of this, you ask? I was seated in my usual location, in my usual insignificant wooden chair. Shoved into a corner with the most candles, sending a fiery sheen up the hem of the jet black dress I despised. I was nothing here; merely a tool for my father's torrid "job." You see, it's not always fun and games being the daughter of a god. No, I was much more than that. I am his venator, hunter; sent to track souls marked for the underworld. A righteous job you might think; I used to. That was until I met my "partner", Corbin. Once I set my sights on the tainted soul, he is summoned, their fate sealed; death comes sooner rather than later.

"Isolde, rise!"

And cue daddy's little girl.
