He waited for you in class. Lexis was so excited to be with you, just talking and drawing the whole time. Usually he would zone out when Mrs. Handley started talking.
And, he was actually early.
Mrs. Handley had given him a weird look when he came in before everyone else.
"Am I dreaming?" she had asked him.
With a quiet laugh, he replied, "Nope. You're awake alright."
Lexis was getting scared of you. You were breaking through his walls faster than anyone else he's known. It was terrifying to think; especially after Aubrey.
He waited for you.
He waited and waited.
But you never came.
Lexis couldn't help but think there was something going on. He thought you were sick, so he planned on coming to your house to see if you were okay.
The bell rang and he went to the bathroom, only to see you with another guy there. Your hair was messy, and your lips were a bright red.
When he came in, you looked him in the eyes.
He left without a word.
