You couldn't help but feel guilty. He probably waited the whole period for you, but you didn't come just because James had dared you to make out with him for the whole period.

You went inside Mrs. Handley's class. Lexis wasn't there. You thought he would be coming in late again.

So you waited.

And waited.

And waited.

The bell rang and you left, feeling a bit angry.

You go to your locker and you see a familiar face with familiar tattoos in their familiar places.

Lexis was leaning on lockers across from yours and he was staring at you with a knowing look.

He left without a word.

And suddenly, you began to feel the pain of your heart throbbing in your chest. You began to feel how he felt yesterday.

It was a terrible feeling.
