Lexis tried to sit away from you, but there were no other seats and Mrs. Handley wouldn't let him leave the classroom. She pushed him towards his usual seat. You had your head down, and he hoped it would be that way for the rest of Biology.
You didn't want him to feel uncomfortable, but you needed his help with a nose so you looked up.
You dropped your pencil and sketchbook, but you didn't notice because you were staring at a person who might as well be dead.
Lexis wasn't the guy you knew anymore. He had dark, purple bags under his eyes and was way skinnier than he was before.
Lexis lost all his muscle and became a twig.
