"Are you sure?" You examined yourself in the mirror.
"You look great!" Your best friend promised and clasped her hands in excitement.
"Well, so do you." You grinned and walked into the living room.
Your mom squealed,"You two look beautiful! Here, let me take a picture."
Both of you groaned in fake annoyance. After a short photo shoot, the doorbell rang. Y/B/F/N ((your best friend's name)) looked over at you with a gigantic smile on her face. You could feel your heart beating out of your chest.
"Hello Mr. and Mrs. Y/L/N," you heard Darry greet from the doorway. You also heard Y/B/F/N's boyfriend greet your parents.
"Wow," Darry was breathless and speechless when he saw you. His eyes roamed your body,"You look beautiful."
You blushed,"You look handsome." He placed his hands on your waist and leaned down to kiss you.
"More pictures!" Your mom announced. The four of you awkwardly posed for pictures before being rushed out the door.
You and your best friend gasped at the sight of Prom. It was definitely what you imagined. Music blared through the gym's speakers and lights flashed throughout the room.
The four of you met up with other friends and danced the night away.
"The last song of the night is dedicated to you couples," the lead singer of the band said. He began to sing and play his guitar.
"May I have this dance?" Darry asked hopefully. You nodded and wrapped your arms around his neck. He placed his hands on your waist and pulled you closer.
The two of you swayed to the slow music, while you both gazed into each other's eyes. As the song and night came to an end, Darry placed a passionate kiss on your lips.
"I love you, Y/N."
"I love you too, Darry."
