A few minutes later, the silence was interrupted by the handsome blonde, sitting next to Veronica. The young man didn't want her to think of him as a shirt-chaser, because he wasn't. He just wanted to be courageous and strong, and only flirted with her.

"Well, maybe we can get acquainted at last or will we keep up the silence all the way?" The guy hemmed, setting the magazine aside and throwing a glance at Veronica with his blue eyes.

"Veronica." She whispered, turning to look at him.

"You will laugh if I tell you my name. Unlike yours, it's not so wonderful." He admitted.

"Why? Tell me and we'll see then." Veronica asked the stranger.

Having rallied his spirits, he introduced himself to her, "Timothy."

Veronica felt like laughing, but not because he had such a name, but because he had silly prejudices. How could that name be funny, when it was one of the old Slavic names by which the mothers called their sons in ancient times in Russia?

"You're strange." Veronica muttered, slightly shaking her head. "It is not funny at all."

"Then why is there a smile on your face?" Timothy wanted to get to the truth and find out what this mystery girl was thinking.

"You believe that it is a funny name. But, it is not so."

"Are you making fun of me?" He asked her, flaring up.

"Oh, no! Don't say that!"

Veronica saw bitterness on his face, realizing that she should have said it to him in a softer tone. She took the youth's hand, surprised at her own actions, and stroked it gently, "Don't be angry with me. I'm telling you the truth."

"Really?" Timothy turned to her with a sparkling look.

"Absolutely. Please, don't be angry." Veronica asked for forgiveness again.

"I accept your apology," Timothy said, covering her hand by his own and looking into her eyes. Veronica immediately figured that she shouldn't have let him know that she liked him. He has already felt some kind of sympathy for her and she didn't want it.

"Let me go." Veronica hissed. He held her, giving all the warmth of his body unto her skin.

"I liked your touch. It ignites. So, maybe we could be less ceremonial? We have already got acquainted." He stated.

"No, we won't. This will get me into all sorts of trouble." Veronica replied to him firmly.

"In what way?" Timothy grinned, moving closer to her.

"Any troubles. It's dangerous to meddle with men." Veronica answered, throwing a sharp glance at him, but Timothy continued to stare at her, not being distracted by the cityscape outside the window.
