When we were young we weren't taught things we truly need.
I will grow up knowing how to find x but not how to do taxes
We are the generation of the future not knowing how to succeed.
The simple things are too complex and we are struggling to even see
The light at the end of the tunnel.
How can one focus on the true problems of life
If they are too caught up in essay paper?
No one can be their own savior
If they all don't even know how to change a tire.
Tire... Tired.
I am tired of learning things I won't need
And being taught to believe in things
That don't encourage me to be me.
Why is society based on bias?
Why at such a young age do they need to lie to us?
We as a whole are needed
But who cares about the in-between
As long as the end result is complete.
We are the generation of inventors
Of creators and mind melders
But we are not given a fair shot
For we have already failed
In the eyes of our society.
Our parents think we focus too much on the little things
They seem to forget they once use to be the same
We are the generation most set up for greatness
But even we are being forced to hold blandness
In our hearts.
For we believe in a greater equality
That the previous generation cannot
Is it so wrong we all don't fit in slots?
That were are who were are.
Do we have to be labeled on are intelligence
When we lack the basic knowledge for diligence
We are taught that are school works matters more than our health
X won't find it's self
Constant day in and day out
Stuck on repeat tell we want to shout
I can't stand the fact that we have been left for dead
When they could teach us more than they have read
Why are we forced to do what we do not want to do?
Is it for the greater good?
When the memory is left on us like a tattoos
After all of this will it even matter?
The brutality we face everyday
Just to learning something that we could have googled
What does the government know about me?
Can they tell the future?
And see where I will be?
What if I don't need this class?
Must I watch as I don't pass?
Does this get better as we get older?
Or will we be forever stuck
The young kid with no luck
Looking for a way to find x
Or will we always be forced to be
Rejects.
