The bus arrived at Rock Bottom and Spongebob was the only one who got off. He watched as the bus left, trembling. Rock Bottom was still as cold and as dark as he remembered. Maybe he could find the Balloon Guy, and ask him if he'd seen his friend? He was still afraid.
He sighed and began walking, his shoes squeaking underneath him. He tried to listen for voices but he couldn't hear any. Why was it so quiet? He couldn't remember Rock Bottom being this quiet the last time he was here.
Maybe no one was even here..
He looked up at seeing a sudden light. He was afraid for a moment, until he realized that it was Balloon Guy. He couldn't help but smile. "Hey! It's you!"
Balloon Guy simply smiled.
"Hey, have you seen a.. a starfish around here?" Spongebob questioned nervously. He still didn't know if Patrick was okay or not and he was afraid.
Balloon Guy stared at him before shaking his head. Spongebob released a sigh. "Okay. Thanks, anyway." He walked past, leaving Balloon Guy in the only light provided: the streetlamp by the bus stop.
