Spongebob couldn't believe that he'd made a big deal over something that he'd simply forgotten, but he got over it quickly. He stayed in Rock Bottom with Patrick for the weekend, even if he didn't necessarily like it. The place scared him, but with Patrick there, it was okay.
Finally, the weekend ended. Spongebob was with Patrick's parents at the bus stop, waiting for it to arrive. Patrick had said he'd forgotten something and went back to their house to get it.
It was eerily quiet, but Patrick's parents were nice people and Spongebob was mostly comfortable around them. Rock Bottom was still creepy, though..
"Sure is quiet, isn't it?" Patrick's mom stated after a while.
"Yeah. Too quiet." said his dad.
Spongebob began to get worried. It shouldn't have taken Patrick that long to just go and get something.
"I'm.. I'm gonna go look for Patrick," He stated, then walked back off into the darkness.
He'd never gotten used to the darkness. It still gave him the creeps every time.
He found their house and looked in the window. It was quiet, and dark. Surely, Patrick would have turned a light on..
Spongebob entered to find that..
Patrick wasn't even there!
