"Y/N?" I asked scared playing with the rings on my fingers.

I wiped my sweaty palms on my black pants feeling the beads of sweat form on the back of my neck. I have to tell her, it's been killing me for the past two weeks. Just rip off the band aid and everything will be alright, I hope.

"Yeah what's up? Do you like your pizza?" My beautiful best friend asked curiously.

I smiled cheekily and nodded.

"Yeah! You did a great job" I replied excitedly trying to sound calm as possible, that didn't work.

She smiled back and continued to nibble on her pizza. She looked around the place and looked down at her dirty green apron covered in flour. She worked at this pizza parlor and on Wednesdays I would come and eat a slice with her. She insisted that she makes it for me instead of somebody. I would just agree and let her do all the talking.

I looked into her bright beautiful orbs and grabbed her hand. She looked at me furrowing her eyebrows taking the last gulp of pizza.

"Are you okay?" She asked taking a sip of her drink.

She wiped the corner of her mouth and I let out an audible sigh.

"I just-" I stuttered. "I just-"

"Well spit it out Mendes or its gonna bother me forever" she giggled to me.

I laughed and felt my cheeks heat up with embarrassment.

"Shawn?" She slowly spoke.

"I love you!" I shouted eagerly.

The whole restaurant looked at us in amazement and I sunk down into my seat.

"Well I love you too, you're my best friend" y/n giggled getting my attention back to her.

"No like I love you love you. Like I wanna be more than this, more than best friend" I replied quietly this time.

"Shawn? I-I didn't know you felt this way" she replied.

I nodded and sighed.

"Looks like this is a date then hmm?" She smirked.

I looked up at her and smiled. She titled her head in confidence and took another slice of pizza taking a small bite. I rolled my eyes and grabbed another doing the same as her.
