Love

Rotten love brown and aged

Dark and outstanding on her pale porcelain counter

What I would give

Just to eat you up

But you cannot be reached

My dear you are distant

For I am too small

To be deserving of your love, strong

The colors outside they do not compare

To your ripe mixed complexion

The warm of the grass's shelter

Could never be as wholesome as your touch

And the satisfaction you leave behind

Is far from any adequacy which I have ever felt

But now you are gone

And I am left distraught

Perhaps one day we will meet again

When the sun shines high and lights up your skin

When you are all dried out

As you age

Your skin growing darker brown

And as each day goes by

I cannot stop loving you more.
